Children
« on: February 06, 2019, 11:43:06 PM »

Hi, although I don't have any children yet I wonder how my decision would influence their life in a future. I mean, we are all here because we're short but children still have a chance not to be that way. Are you overly concious about that dillema? Being able to influence their future positively and failing in doing so? I constantly reflect on the idea of giving my future children (especially boys) hgh or aromatase inhibitors, because I don't want them to end up miserable and self loathing.

I would dare to say, that our real problem is not height, but rather "body image issues".
And we seem to agree (same as e.g. transsxxuals) that it is easier to "adjust" the body than to "adjust" the mind.
Therefore we voluntarily undergo massive butchery and feel the relief afterwards.

Children may or may not have body image issues.
They might value health and athletic abilities more than height and aesthetics.
I would let them grow and decide for themselves.

I will not have children. I don't want to put more people in this world to suffer.

But it's reeeally hard to obtain, aromatase inhibitors are better choice (although it's still shot in the dark, without even 50% efficiency) to use for adolescents (only for boys, I have never heard about using it to treat girls) as estrogen accelerates epihyseal ossification (hence, women are usually shorter than males)

Another area to keep close eye on is the puberty rate of a child.  If they develop too fast; they can miss out on height.  That is the precise reason, I missed out on my potential height.  I matured rapidly around age 11/12 and my growth plates fused to soon.

I would definitely seek professional support to maximize the best odds for my children to reach full potential height.

I plan to have children at some point as most of the time we take height from our mothers side, but to be on the safe side I wouldn't marry or date a woman under 5'6/7
