Psychological problem with height
« on: February 05, 2019, 07:14:17 AM »

Hi guys!

I permanently compare my height to others. If someone is taller than me, i feel like inferior. I am exactly 185 tall and reach with shoes 1,87-188 but still don't feel tall enough.

I don't know what to do

Besides height, you might have the same problem with your face, income, character, family. Rght?

No, it's just height.

Life is short. If your height make you unhappy and affect your normal life. No matter what height you are, You could consider Cll.
So in your situation you could do one segment with safe amount.

If he believes his height makes him unhappy, he sould consult a psychologist and/or therapist first and spend at least 1-2 years on regular sessions to get to the real bottom of his problems, and THEN, once all other options are truly exhausted, actually consider LL.

Agree. Maybe it would be more safe and economic and time effective

Cll is not easy. You don't know what happen after decades.
And you don't know whether after 5cm up. You could still be unhappy when seeing people taller than you.

I‘m only 3cm taller than you plenty of guys shorter than you. My best friend is 187cm and he is considered to be tall from anyone. Also we live here in Germany. Mentioning womens if you get rejected then it‘s probably because not of your height.

I was 183cm exactly one year before turning now 19 and I‘m 188.5-189cm depending the day. But I doubt that‘s the rule I had growth delay since a baby. So subtracting the 2 inches from Kyphosisfix I‘ve grown 4 inches between 17-19.

Yes I do want to add, before doing this surgery, ask yourself if you have optimized your life to the fullest extent possible (job/career, personality, etc).

CLL will, most likely, not stop you from doing it. Since you are already not short, CLL might not bring any positive change in your life. Still, you have to consider all the risks.

Try working first with your self esteem, become exceptionally good at something: sport, music, business, dance, social skills, body building, science; to shift the presumed competition from posture to any other area of life.

Rock stars, nobel prise winners, millionaires, olympic champions, probaby don't care about being shorter than others.

Right now measured 186.5 in the morning.

Is that considered to be tall?

If you never want to feel inferior while walking down the street, you need to be 2m tall.

Canon, you are very lucky! You won the lottery when it comes to the DNA Gene Pool. You are a tall male. Go enjoy being tall and I hope you can find the support you need to get over your height dysphoria.   If it makes you feel any better, I'm 5'1.25" and I love myself and do not feel inferior at all.  Go have fun with that height. I would love to be 6'1"

PM me if you want to ask me any questions about CLL. I am currently under going the procedure and I have grown 1 inch so far.  I'm am actually 5'2.25" now...! lol.

Talk soon,
