Is doing two surgeries in the same segment possible?
« on: February 02, 2019, 07:49:14 PM »

I was just thinking (I'm not planning to do it). Is it possible, for example, do 8cm in femur with stryde, and after some years do osteotomy again and new 4 cm with stryde, totalizing 12cm? Or with tibias?

Beside the time and money you lose with this, what would be the downsides?

two surgery in one segment is considered dangerous no matter how many year after the first surgery because your soft tissue is limited. So if you want more height after the first surgery in femur you had better do it in tibia.

Less is more.
Maybe one cm up or down could not change your appearance.
But one cm more is definitely do harm to joint than one cm less.
English is not my first language.

I thought the soft tissue would "adapt" to new height and than could be stretched again. I guess I was wrong.
