Korean Doctors- TSF / LON / Precice 2
« on: January 23, 2019, 09:30:08 AM »

Hi Everyone,
So Regarding the fact that I am on a Certain Money Budget
& Even the Dr that i was looking into [ Dr Dimitrios/Athens] charges 23,000 Euro for the basic TSF method ! Like what ? This method is worth all that money ? Why?
So i Found a Doctor in Korea - His clinic is called New Born I think.
I dont know the prices yet or anything ?
Did anyone contact him before ?
I sent him an email but no response?
What do you guys think ? Would he charge less maybe than these other doctors ?
What do you think about Korea as a whole for limb lengthening ?

Other than that, My main question is *which method for less pain & scars*
I see ALOT of mixed contradicting reviews here, some people say LON is terrible and cause pain and scars while others praise it ? What about this TSF method is it a newer form of Ilizarov, i read that you wear the frame for 5 months for 6 cm , is that true ?
#My tibia is 35 cm while femur is 42 cm*

The great leader is not short you imperialist pig

Its funny how Americans think they're worthy of calling others short when by their own standards, they are nothing compared to the people of the alps!

There were statistics on CLL in Korea
It said complication rate was 80%
The only doctor with very good reputations in Korea is Dr Donghoon Lee
He has done many reoperations of patients with complications came from other clinics

New Born Ortho had been using ISKD even after the product was recalled
I think it’s really unethical thing to do

one more advise
It’s better not to go to any doctors which you cannot find enough information, not even a web site
Logged
Plan to have Stryde TIBIAS surgery with Donghoon
Welcome any NEGATIVE information of Donghoon
Any doctor with more than 5% complication rate is NOT acceptable

Yeah you’re right Sushi!
I just dont know what to do !
I searched all the doctors and cant find a single one.....
Someone’s either too expensive or non trust worthy thats why i thought korea may be a good choice, i am giving up my dreams on precice due to high cost but do you think i should go for LON or completely cancel the idea of ever getting taller ?

Well if complications occurred you may not be able to go back to work for 2years 3 years or even more
So this means it will cost much much more than you expected
How much one can earn in one year
20k, 30k, or more?
You will loose that chance to earn after complications
Cheapness is attractive but never know what will happen
Chances of complications seems much higher
You’ve waited until now so why not wait for a few more years until save up enough for the better choice

The truth is I wont ever make it to 50$k to afford the Precice , and i dont work i am a college student still, and right now i am in a very Free period of my life where i wil skip a semester and have about from now till August to do such procedure.....
and i wont get that chance again....
So i started thinking about LON vs TSF ?
But i just don’t understand how some people stay a year with the external frame and some stay 5 months only?
& do complications happen with external you mean ?

Some people’s bone consolidate very slowly
Without IM nail, 6 months is not enough to go back to your county
If you do now, choices would be LON or Stryde

You are still young you will have a prenty of chances to do CLL in the future after school
Don’t rush into it

Cheap and safe, I don’t find any so far
It’s an illusion which is projected by unethical doctors

Yeah you’re so right.
But people in this forum encourage doing Pure External like its nothing, its cheap for a fact , its like should i do it better than nothing ? This TSF frame doesnt look as bad as the regular old Ilizarov.... & someone on this group talked about doing something called Synthes/Stryker which is some new external method , So should i go for those on my Tibias ? To also avoid knee oain by going all out nothing inside the bones .....
