Is an 87-88 inseam to long
« on: January 06, 2019, 08:37:54 PM »

My height goal is 6’2 so I’d be doing LL cross lengthening to get 10 cm overall 5 cm in both femur and tibia so would my inseam aka legs be to long or ok just curious also my sitting height is 94 cm if that is also important thanks

hey dude  :) :D

**it is a problem to use feet as a reference because the imprecision is 2.54cm,
but I'm going to assume that you have 178cm and want to have 188cm (which is my dream height too hahahha)
the calculation is basically a rule of 3, will determine the ratio of the size of the legs to the trunk, neck and head

sitting height 94cm -178cm = 84cm legs
Currently you are 178cm - legs 84cm
178------100%
84cm --- x   =   legs 47.1% - torso 52.9%

result with 188cm - legs 94cm
188 -----100%
94cm--- x    =    legs 50% - torso 50%
You will be medium, you will have the size of legs equivalent to the upper part of the body, technically considered beginning of a long legs, but know that it is common people with legs longer than this, so do not worry, perhaps the concern is your arms are very short may give the impression of long legs. if you have a wingspan of about 185 - 188cm nobody will notice that you did LL

Unfortunately my armspan is only like 182-183 I mean I’m concerned that it’ll look odd especially when I sit next to my brothers all over 6ft btw would they be considered to be long legged my 6’2 bro has wears a 34 inch trousers which equals to 86 cm vary close to what my finished LL measurement would be also if you wouldn’t mind I’m horrible at maths what would it be if I went to 6’1 185 cm

I also forgot to mention that my inseam at the minute legs is 77-78 I forgot to mention that probably won’t effect the calculation to much tbh but thought I should add it.

Maybe you should think 6'1 (185cm-186cm) is a good time is with tennis or boots you would reach 6'2 - 6'3 quietly, but anyway its wingspan is good, would not have much trouble if it was 188 and wingspan 183cm.
remember
187-188 for wingspan 183 are 4-5cm difference only, that is: a person with wingspan 188cm when this with relaxed arms down is only 2.5cm more in each arm in the total length, is little

and about sewing height, does not influence anything you will be less long leg
