Is it my looks or my height?
« on: November 26, 2018, 10:47:44 PM »

I finally have the money to proceed with this surgery. But before I do so I'm curious to see what the community thinks will give me more bang for my buck.

I have always wondered what is holding me back from being considered physically attractive. What do you guys think?

Will I benefit from ll or should I save my money?

then you don't need LL, spend the money on looks (not to say you are bad looking, you are average looking) - that will give you more bang for the buck. Also, if you want 2-2.5 inches more (which is quite tall I would say) then wear lifts. btw, may I ask which country are you from?

Dude I've seen many diaries and the concluded that at the end your problems are the same, you're only a bit taller. If you're insecure breaking your legs won't do you any good. You're just a bit under average height so I would say to wear lifts until you're really sure about this.

My wingspan is 71 inches

Thank you for this. What about my face can be improved?

I am from the USA but latino.

idk about your body build but from the looks of it you don't need LL surgery 'nor would I say you require/need any facial surgery. Other than some facial fat (which I can assume is just an average amount of total body fat) your facial symmetry doesn't look bad; other than your smile which looks slightly lopsided I'm assuming that would be fixed with self-confidence (looks like an awkward smile but fixing that comes naturally with confidence.)

If you're worried about your looks as well as your height; I don't think LL would help that since many people who get LL tend to have issues with just their height; and those that suffered self-confidence issues reported not-as-positive results (of course not all of them, but the ones that did tended to be said people)

really the only "issue" i see with your face is simply body fat levels; which would be improved through exercise, which can also boost your confidence. Also at your height and wingspan your proportions are pretty good (like 0.4cm off the ideal "2.4 inches longer than height" ratio) so you don't even look short (you look pretty tall in your photo imo)

If you have the money saved up for something as expensive as LL; definitely do everything can do prior to LL surgery to work on yourself before considering and going through with it.

My first thought this guys isnt short.

second thought. a nice/cool haircut and bear/mustache line up is what this guys needs.
You are screaming average in every area.
3rd thought get ripped. Because that's really the answer to your question.

Body being attractive > being tall  or average height

Fully optimize these 3 things.

You are pretty ok looking dude. You are not tall but you are not short either. I'll agree with Bosnian2018 - work with what you've got. You'll feel better and more confident.

It's not your looks.  It's not your height particularly though you could benefit from a few inches if you want to appear tallish.  I suggest your problems are elsewhere.  Most likely just personal confidence.  Yes some gym work always helps gain more confidence but I have a feeling you are successful at attracting women but you are less successful in progressing things to a sexual relationship.
It may be useful to look at some PUA material - but be careful there is a lot of misogyny in that community.  I suggest you read "The Game" by Neil Strauss which is an entertaining and well written introduction.  "The rules of the Game" by the same author is a good practical companion and I know a few people that found it useful.  Good luck!

A couple more tips - your smile does look nervous.  I suggest you get comfortable smiling at people.  Try to go to speed dating events - these are better than online dating as there is no filtering possible and you will have guaranteed many instant mini dates to practice.

Thank you all for your responses.

So here's the thing. I'm well aware of my round gave. Genetically, I just have really thick skin. The reason my smile is looks like off? I got botox to the masseter muscle to shrink the jaw and make my face less round.

Unfortunately the surgeon injected too posteriorly which leaked botox to my smiling muscle on the left side which is the reason I can't do a full on big smile.

So unfortunately I have to wait till the boric subsides before I can smile regularly again

you need to define your aura around you. You seem to be average on everything.
Grow some beard, bulk the fk up and have a more confident facial look and be also try to approach girls. I think you are a funny guy to be around.

good luck

edit: btw to answer your question. no i dont think its the height

What different answers? Only one guy (that is you will look at his post history you will know what kind of guy we are talking about) told you it is your height.

It is not your height. If you really have ZERO success with women it is not even your looks... It is 100% your character

I agree here. if he was short like 5'4" like me or 5'5" then I would have said height may be a factor, but at almost 5'9 it is impossible that a few inches will make it change, that is why I am recommending that the money saved would be better spent somewhere else which may help or may not. Life does not guarantee success towards women that we are attracted to, most of times it is a compromise.

So use the money for surgery? But then again, what procedures would help?

Like somebody said here, maybe you can consult a plastic surgeon and they may recommend something like better smile, very even features etc., that said again you are not bad looking but yes money can improve facial features and maybe you can see if that helps you get more success?

I am sure there will be plenty of plastic/LL surgeons who will gladly take your money.  But if you listen to the vast majority of advice above, you will realize that would be a waste of money.  Instead spend the money on personal development.  Spend it on travel, explore new countries, meet different people and try different activities.  This will develop your personality and make you more worldly.

It's more symmetrical I'd say

dude, I think you are overanalyzing things, people have given adequate feedback on your questions on height and looks, now it is upon you to make a decision. This is not a panel of judges for a beauty contest. Decide for yourself is what I will say. All the best.

change your hair style (bring the hair line down, and avoid the square look). bulk up . grow facial hair.

your in the wrong forum. seems like you have insecuritys in general not height dysphoria.

if you cant get chicks you want at your height. More height ain't gonna fix it
