Hello I open this thread to consult a series of things to you that take more time.
I know that you are all going to tell me to go for 8 centimeters and that I am wasting centimeter, but I do it looking for the optimal recovery of skills and soft tissues.
Not all will reach that number of centimeters in a segment.

Therefore without looking at the economic issue that you would do?

5-6cm in femur... or 3cm warm and 3 cm femur?

Why would you do one and not the other?

If your only looking to get 5-6cm in total than all that can be achieved in femurs without sacrificing too much soft tissue recovery. Femurs handle lengthening relatively easier and breaking 6cm down into 2 sections is too much unnecessary trauma to the body.

If I lengthen 5 cm in the femur, lose knee flexion after one year? I will not be able to do squats like now?
I'm lost with this ...

Nomatter what you lengthen you will lose knee flexion atleast for a year but you will regain it. If thats what your scared of maybe you should forget about this procedure. Theres plenty of other things you should be scared of besides knee flexion.

I understand that you have worse things, although I still do not know all of them, I do not want to be crippled by this!

Currently I touch my buttock with my foot, but if I turn the tibia a bit towards the outside I can put my foot almost next to my thigh ... I do not know if I explain myself well.

The bad things about this I understand that with a good doctor who has experience are reduced to the maximum, no?

Being crippled is really unlikely. I was left with foot drop on my left foot and its been 9 weeks since i havent been able to dorsilfex the foot up. I can walk but with a brace. Supposedly its temporary and should resolve within the next 2 months and if it doesnt resolve by itself there is surgery to fix it so im hopeful.

Yes you are somewhat right. But then again theres always that slight chance that something like this will happen. I lengthened both segments back to back and did externals with nailing. Probably not the smartest move but i was limited in money and wanted atleast 9cm in lengthening and wasnt gonna do all of that in 1 segment. So yes again i agree if you have the money and can afford it go to a doctor in the states who has almost zero complications. I say almost because no doctor nomatter how good they are has never had any complications.

Your problem with the dorsiflexion of the foot do you think is due to lengthen the tibia 4 cm? with the tibia you compromise the tendon of aquilles ...
Do you think that with just 5cm femur you would not have a problem?
What doctor do you recommend?
