Are alot of us getting the ll done incorrectly?

This concerns tibial lengthening.
Here in this video il post below, Dr.paley who is the archmaestro of limb lengthening says that fibula should always be attached to the tibia proximaly and distally which means at the knee and at the ankle.

Most of the lengthenings are done without this or just with 1 fixation.
It could cause a sequel of problems for the legs later on as time passes after ll. or is it not so im not really sure tho.
