I like the look of the monorails a lot better than the circular frame and was thinking of using them on my tibias. Do you think there are any downsides to using the monorail on tibias as opposed to the circular frame? Monorails seem like they're so much more comfortable and less barbaric.

they are actually not so stable and hard to weightbear, if you don't have money for internals, go to dr bagirov Russia or better dr Salameh Frankfurt, both devices weightbear, pure external but salamehfix has half rings

Monorails get the job done.  People have successfully lengthened their legs with monorails.  Don't worry too much about which device you use.

I guess that depends on how thick your legs are, or not?

Dr Parihar told me that larger patients tend to get valgus (x-legs) when lengthening tibias with monorails. It's also easier to get equinus with them.
