25 Indian Male, 172-175 cm considering lengthening under Dr Mangal Parihar

25 Indian M considering LL surgery under Dr Mangal Parihar! Any suggestions welcome?

Hey all
I’m a 25 y/ o fit Indian male 172-175 cm( though got measured at 176 at Dr Parihar’s). I’ve a fairly decent sporting background and based in Mumbai only.

Considering max LL in tibia and femur with lon and fitbone respectively. He said at my ratios ( wide enough wingspan), fairly normal sitting height, and I have slight knock knees, I can expect about 7-7.5 cm in femur with fitbone and 5-6 cm in tibia with lon, though at any time function will be prioritised over length.
I need appropriate questions to ask?   Common complications and worst complications observed under him?   Any embolism, non union, or long term damage ( either during the process or after it)?

Things to watch out for ? Past patient conversations ( if any here)?   approximate cost inclusive of everything?    Complication rate? Recovery rate to expect?   Any other thing I need to be watchful about even considering surgery in India and with him?
Thanks alot!

Hi, so there's this guy kiloKAHN who has got it done by him and tenau diwitt has started LON with him in December 2024, so you might ask them and read their diaries for reference, and just s personal advice, don't go for limb lengthening surgery at that height, 172 cm or 5'8 is average in India and you're a solid 5'9, I'd say reconsider getting this done as it is a costly procedure and also has its own risks, kiloKAHN had a great complete recovery, you can watch him on his YouTube channel @kilokahn9763

When are you doing? Have you consulted with Dr Mangal Parihar. I am planning to do with him too, just not sure if he does Femur lengthening now, as some say he only does Tibia now, any idea on that?
