The heel fat pad plays a crucial role in shock absorption during walking, yet clinical strategies to augment its thickness for height enhancement remain underexplored. This case report presents the novel use of cross-linked hyaluronic acid (HA) injections into the calcaneal fat pad as a method for height augmentation. A 37-year-old male, with a height of 162.5 cm, sought a permanent solution to increase his stature. After discussing various options, 10 cc of HA filler (e.p.t.q. eve X, JETEMA Co. Ltd, Korea) was injected into each heel pad under ultrasonographic guidance to ensure precise and safe delivery into the deep adipose tissue. The procedure resulted in an immediate 1.2 cm height increase, which persisted as a 1.7 cm gain at both the 6-month and 1-year follow-up assessments. The patient reported high satisfaction with the outcome, particularly noting improved self-confidence. This case highlights the potential of HA fillers for height augmentation, offering a non-invasive, durable alternative for individuals seeking such enhancements. However, further studies with larger sample sizes and extended follow-up are required to fully assess the long-term efficacy and safety of this technique, particularly concerning risks such as filler migration or uneven distribution.

1.7cm is nowhere near trivial especially for sub-5'7" guys. That's 34% of what tibial lengthening will give you on average. People risk overlengthening for much less than that.

And by the way, it's just a filler injection, not a surgery.

Hello is there any more updates if this was successful? I had leg lengthen in Milan and was disappointing:-( and even if I could get another 10mm I would be happy as still wearing higher insoles in my shoes .

I can't imagine this would be a good solution. Fillers on other parts of the body only last a few years, and with all that walking and running you'd be doing, the compression and impact would likely disperse the fillers quickly. Speaking of running, I think fillers on the bottom of your feet would make it feel incredibly awkward.

1cm is almost certainly possible through this method. The question is it can be as much as 2-4cm.

The filler used 10 cc of cross-linked hyaluronic acid which is different from the ones used on face. From what I understand, it's modified in a way that will withstand those compression and impact from walking and running. The study already showed that those gains are maintained throughout the year. A maintenance of once every few years sounds pretty manageable to me.

But either way, it's another option for those who don't feel like breaking their bones as LL itself is nothing short of awkward. Or even for those who have already done LL and still want more height.

Thankyou for reply , yes I’m not going through the legs being cut again !! Went to Milan and basically you have nails put into your legs and abandoned!!

Then it’s down to you in a foreign country in an air bnb whilst off your head on medication to click your self !! In the worst pain you could imagine!!

Was promised 50-60mm and ended up with 30mm and also had to go back in and have a second operation because a pin had come loose !!

Was in a mess for over 6 months and it’s only now 2 years on I’m a lot better , but ended up stuck with the nails in me for ever as the surgeon buried it 20mm down into my hip and been advised to leave them there .

Would be happy with 10mm and plus if possible by this method as I’m really disappointed with results after going through hell and spending my life savings !!

Also I have no problems with my feet but they are flat , my arch is flat on floor so would possibly help also .
Is there any where in the world that does these injections yet ?

Even if this works, with shoes on there will be no difference if you wear insoles or lifts because your foot will be bigger and you won't be able to also use an insole because it won't fit on the shoe.
And most of the times we want to appear taller with shoes on, not nked. So it is really useless to give a big amount of money (I am sure more than 1500-2000 euros) for something that needs to be done again every 2-3 years to have the same results.with shoes on that can be given with some 10 euros lifts.

The difference between heel filler and shoe insole is the difference between becoming who you want to be versus pretending to be who you want to be.

Besides, you're most likely gonna take off your shoes at some point during an interaction (eg. when entering someone's house or room). Unless you plaster the insoles onto your feet and then hide them under the socks and refuse to take off your socks. But then it boils down to the first point again.

At least for me it seems like a good non invasive alternative. I mean almost 2cm and probably a little more could be attainable doesn't look bad. I definetely would do it.

Lenny you’re correct ! And I currently have like 20mm lifts in my shoes but they squash down to like 10mm
But I feel fake and want to keep my shoes on all the time .

100% for me I would have this done ?

After going through LL and it being abit of a failure and spending a fortune this will be easy lol

Are you British? I'm curious why didn't opt to get surgery in London where both Guichet and Giotikas operate and offer the Guichet nail as an option. I understand you suffered problems with the aftercare, but at least being in a familiar environment of your own country would have helped a little I suppose?

Had you read about the complication cases of Guichet before you went there? I believe there have been a couple of cases of death and one case of severe bone related complications.

If I had known what I know now then Guichet would never have been an option!!! Would have been even worse having it done in London as he then flies home and leaves you .

I was under the impression there would be people there to help you click etc as when your constantly twisting and breaking your bones the pain is unbearable!!

Your shown by him when your still coming around after the opp then your own your own !!!
