What can I do?
« on: January 23, 2025, 12:35:56 AM »

What do most people do to fill their time? I assume most spend about 3-4 hours per day doing PT. Go to your doctor visits. But what from there? Can you do more during the consolidation during lengthening? I know some try to do remote work or just play video games. Some even go to clubs, but is that realistic for most LL’ers?

Can only speak for myself. I have a remote desk job so I did that. Also lifted weights, upper body only obviously. Other than that, the typical things you would expect like reading or watching TV.

Are you mostly stuck in a bed throughout the process or can you sit upright at a desk?

Going to a club during the procedure is insane 💀 depending on your procedure, you should be able to do different things. Depending on your weight and nails, you might be able to start walking right away with a walking aid, but it might not look very pretty. Others might have to spend a few weeks or months in bed.

I'm currently in my consolidation phase, and I've started going to the gym. I go 2-3 hours about 3-4 days a week hitting some weights and doing some cardio. I feel like that's allowed my mood to improve drastically. When I was wheelchair/bed bound, I was also only able to work on my bed or use the computer on a table. I really recommend going out as much as possible though, since being stuck inside for weeks on end almost made me go crazy
