How much $$ do I need to save up?
« on: September 13, 2024, 03:21:06 PM »

Hello Everyone!

I could not be more happier have found a forum/community that better outlines all the finer details for Limb Lengthening. I've been looking into this for about 10 years now and but would like to start from scratch. I feel like cost would be a great place to start before I dive any deeper.

My question here is realistically - how much USD$ should I save for 2 surgeries? I would like to get it the max height possible. - My current plan is to save for the procedures and even work while I'm in recovery.

Any recommendations for most affordable + quality firms would be a huge help! I look forward to get this in the next year. Thank you all!

It really depends, the lower your budget, the higher risks of complications. For me I think around 100K is a good common ground, while it's a reasonable price and you will get pretty good doctor/care.

I want to do simultaneous lenghtening because I don't want to lose too much athletic ability.
I am planning to spend maximum of 200K.
Of course, this includes accomodation and ancillary costs until full recovery.

In the US:

Dr. Mahboubian at Height Lengthening in Burbank, CA - https://www.heightlengthening.com/costs-expenses/ (Be aware they charge up to $35k for nail removal which is bonkers IMO)

Dr. Debiparshard at LimbPlastX in Las Vegas, NV - https://www.limbplastx.com/stature-lengthening-treatments (One of the cheapest overall for Precice Max + nail removal)

Dr. Assayag at HeightRX in Baltime, MD - https://www.heightrx.com/limb-lengthening/ (Also very cost-effective, lists femurs for only $69k but I don't know if this is PMax or P2.2)

Dr. Paley at the Paley Institute in Miami, FL - https://limblengthening.org/lengthening-options/ (Allegedly the best of the best, but very VERY expensive as well)

Dr. Rozbruch at the Hospital for Special Surgeries in New York City, New York - Can't find a web site, and only rumors that he charges around $80-100k, which is on par.

Not US:

Dr. Donghoon Lee in Seoul, South Korea - no official site that I can find, but apparently charges around $72k? Renowned as a good surgeon.

Dr. Giotikas in Athen, Greece - https://www.athensbjr.com/cost-pricing-of-cosmetic-limb-lengthening/ (Does a wide variety of methods and does Precice 2.2 for like $50k USD, has been controversial recently due to allegations of a case or two of bone non-unions and even a patient dying, although it is unclear whether these have been proven or whether they were direct result of the doctor's negligence or something done on the patients' parts).

I'm personally looking at LimbPlastX for Precice Max on femurs. I was looking at Dr. Giotikas before, but got spooked by the rumors (although he's probably still a fine doctor, and probably a thousand percent better than most options in other countries like Turkey, India, etc.)

[EDITED because I keep misspelling these crazy names]

Why not just go on the sites and look up their prices? Anyone that's half serious should be doing that research themselves, not being lazy and just asking randos instead....

But $120-$350k

Holy   bro, who charges $350k?? Last I heard, Paley was the most expensive at about $95-100k per segment - and even with nail removal that would still be les than $250kish for full quad..?

I really want to do limb lengthening surgery but even I would have to reconsider whether to do this surgery at 350k.
FYI, I don't have 350k.

Paley for the quadrilateral and rebreak option is $290kish then you have the housing/travel both times, $20-30k probably since quad down there 4 months 1st time. Then you have to leave like $20-30k wiggle room for complications, equipment etc. That's the precise 2 price, Max will be a bit more. But yeah that was the high end balls to the wall cost. I was just saying range is all over the place. I guess technically alternatively you could get surgery for $35k-45 if you went to the butchers of turkey and only did femurs with LON. But I wasn't considering them an option
