I am 170 cm and I wish to become 185 cm if I can get away with it. I would settle for 182 if I can only go 6cm on each segment.  ;D

You should. You will look disgusting! When you realize what you've done you will feel repulsed by yourself.

If not, then go for your dream.

That's fine if you don't care about proportions, but you'll have a lot of problems recovering if you lengthen that much. Do you really want to lose more function of your legs than absolutely necessary? You've got to consider safety and recovery as well.

Yeah man!
U r my dream height n u still have to do u femurs!
Lucky bastard u r  lol

im african so i'm allowed to have long legs heh ehe ee
I see other african guys around 180cm n they are no more than 3cm taller than me when sitting down.

my wing span is 176cm so i will just have to wear my pants really low and will definietely look proportional

if ppl can be 10cm over their wing span then at 4cm over mine i should be fine.

I dont play sports
i'm 30 yrs old
i just do weights so my upper body is making up for my short  height at the moment.

But i know now that height is the deal breaker for most girls..lol
it a lot to lengthen but remeber i am also starting really low guys
i wont do LL if i would still be short after spending so much money.

i'm planning 11cm on femur and up to 7cm on tibia....thats less than what Apo did & i think i can pull it off.

i have siimilar arm length as him so if i he can walk around at 190 with those arms then i will definetely be okay at 181cm.

as long as i can still dance like now after LL i am up for the challenge..lol

Have you done any mock-ups to see what your proportions look like?

I'm around 176-177cm or 5ft 9.5
Aiming for 6.5 to 7cm on femurs, internal, to reach 6ft +
Then lots of pilates and yoga to better my posture and maybe get another few cms from that if im lucky.

I am 170 cm with a wingspan between 171-174 (It's hard to measure it accurately on your own) and would love to be the average height of Americans at 180.

I would do 5 cm on each but seeing as my choices are narrowing down to pretty much only Dr. Paley, I may have to settle for just 5 cm total.

Dr Paley is close to me . I think he is too expensive. It is worth it to me to go overseas to have it done.

you could do 8cm with the new precise 2.0 and be 179cm which not that different to 180cm and is actually the US male average height.

5cm gain for spending that much money is a bit unjustifiable in my opinion.

5'3". I will be content at 5'6" (7.5cm femurs). I wouldn't say I'm not self-conscious about my height, if anything I'm a little self conscious. I never wear lifts even though I do own some. My shoes are flat and have thin soles. I walk around with people who are a foot taller than me and to be honest I'm fine with it.

I want to look good in clothes and not be judged for being below below average.

You have very little understanding of what LL really means. It is not just centimeters. You will look awkward doing 18-20cm in total.
You will never heal up properly ever again. What's the point if your slightly disabled?

There are many reasons why 5cm is the recommended amount in tibias. I actually regret doing 7cm JUST so that I could reach 180.
Your heels are not supposed to pass your butt if you sit on your knees and this is one of the reasons I feel like I need to do my femurs too.

My wingspan is 180 and I'm not keen on passing my height over my wingspan. It is natural to have a larger wingspan than height. ALMOST everyone has it. Nobody has shorter wingspan.

Be advices to overlook your lengthening goals. After its done, there is no turning back.

Sweden is right. There's really no point in lengthening that much when it's going to leave you disabled.

It's all about improvement. Say someone 5'6 was getting lengthening done and he stopped at 5cm and became 5'8 (173 cm). Is he tall? No, not in many countries. But he's still going to improve his image in the eyes of others and open the door to more opportunities he would have gotten at his previous height. If I had the choice of lengthening two inches and getting 90% of my functionality back or lengthening 4 inches and never able to walk completely normally for the rest of my life, I'd certainly choose the former. 5 cm may not seem like a lot in your mind but it really does make a difference when next to other people. At shorter heights even 1 inch can be a deal breaker.

Absolutely. Not going beyond 5 cm will also for many people prevent any overt disproportion.

And if you want to climb the height bell curve even further, you could always try moving to a place with shorter people after having your LL.

That 5 cm thing is not a rule, just a recommendation made by some doctors and not others.  You should ask your doctor to give you an individualized recommendation based on your body and the device that will be used for lengthening.

I am afraid I will lose the functionality of my legs. Dr. Paley has done over 15,000 limb lengthening and correction surgeries. Everything he uses is also approved by the United states FDA. Also, I live close to the Dr. Paley institute. I could essentially keep my life as unchanged as possible during the surgery.

Dr. Jamal is new and I do not know enough about him.

I want a doctor I can trust.

Best to have a consultation with him and ask a lot of questions so you can get a perspective of him if you can, even through Skype if possible. Have you ever considered Dr. Guichet?

Yes, I have and he is my very close number 2 if I do have LL. Once again I do not know enough about him but his Guichet nail is supposed to be the best of all the second generation Albizzia nails. He is cheaper and seems to be the best of all European doctors.

I have a bias for Dr. Paley for some reason. Mostly for the fact that he primarily does children and cosmetic is his secondary clientele.

You sound like a typical American who has never been outside the continent. You are afraid of something you make up in your own mind.

It is not safer to do this with Dr Paley than any other of the recommended doctors in Europe.

I appreciate your input. I really do.

I was actually considering a Colombian doctor since I would be able to stay with family, but if I could stay here in the United States and stay relatively close to where I live, it may be worth the money.

I am just scared and confused after learning about the scandals that have been uncovered and I am taking extreme caution.

What about Betz? I was convinced that I'd do femurs with Betz, but now I wouldn't dare go there unless there is a weight-bearing nail he uses that doesn't constantly break.
-----------------------------

As for Guichet, he's one of the best. You have to prove to him that you're worthy of leg lengthening by being in good physical condition and whatever tests he puts you through. He does this because he doesn't want patients who will succumb to complications due to their laziness or stupidity.

Paley's technology is the best, but Guichet is the best on price and results.

Oh and don't bother with Dr. Mahboubian, he has SysOp and Tall on his payroll.
