Would Limb Lengthening be worth it at 5'6
« on: June 21, 2024, 05:36:27 PM »

Im going to cut to the chase, Im 17 years old and around 5'6 (168 cm) and for the past couple of months I have been lurking on this forum. Puberty is pretty much over for me and the most I could see myself growing is MAYBE another inch at max so there is basically no possibility for any sort of growth spurt. I have had some confidence issues due to my height since middleschool as basically all of my friends and family are taller than I am with the exception of my mother and sister. I could most assuredly afford the procedure if I saved up and split the bill with my parents but I am still torn on if the juice is worth the squeeze. Any insight would be appreciated.

You are probably still growing.
See a doctor to confirm.

Do sprints as fast as you can daily and go full roid head with anavar, you could gain a lot of height.

Depends on race and where you are. Confirm first if you have fully stopped growing with a doctor, then decide after. If you think it's worth it at 5'6, definitely. Personally 5'8 to 5'9 is a good height to just end with 1 lengthening with femurs. 5'8~5'9 is considered pretty average height, and really it's the usual height range where most people wouldn't consider you short.

Ideal goal: (178cm~180cm) 5'10~5'11 with two separate bilateral(femur+tibia) lengthening / (183cm) 6' at max safe goal
Normal goal: (176cm) 5'9 with femur lengthening
Minimum goal: (173.5cm) 5'8 with femur/tibia lengthening

Plan in 2025~2026 when Precice Max comes and has some good outcomes.

by the time u saved up for LL u would stop growing by then. if u take roids like what the guy says. hgh roids and work out full body not just chest work out. u may gain a few but not sure its worth it without 2+ inches. just be sure u will grow a massive facial hair. if not the roids or viagra pills u wont get facial hair just the LL is better.

Thought about this comment for a while and decided to go ahead and check up with a doctor. Will be doing that in a couple of weeks and this will probably decide if I do LL or not. If the growth plates are closed I will start making preparations for femoral LL with Birkholtz or Giotikas as being 5'6 in this generation puts me at a crippling disadvantage in basically every aspect of my life. If not then will try to squeeze out as many inches as I can with the methods listed in this comment thread. Will give and update soon.

Don't do steroids at that age It can seriously screw you up and on top of that you won't have any benefit if you have already stopped growing.. If you don't grow any more, save up for a doctor who is good at limb lenghetning

I would most likely not take steroids but I would take HGH injections if my growth plates are still open. Or would I just be wasting money that could be used for limb lengthening? I know and HGH cycle would be around 1500 usd a month which my family could easily afford but I don't know if it would really be worth it.

Some guys keep growing to 21-22 y/o.
I was shocked when I met 2 of my high school colleagues, after 5 years from finishing, and they were 20 cm taller than me... because when we finished the high school, at 18 y/o, they were same tall as me, about 1.70 m.
So, pray to God, because you might get lucky !

I mean It could happen I come from extremely tall families I just got the worst luck possible by being the son of the shortest people in both families respectively (Mom 5'3, Dad 5'7.5). Do I see it happening? Most likely not.
