(Ideally for Paley or Rozburch patients)
Hi, I'm not sure if this is the appropriate place to post this. But I figured it is worth a shot. I am a former patient of Dr. Paley and during the lengthening/consolidation process, my father was only able to be there for a brief time. I hired a home health aide to help with meals, stretching, going to the bathroom, etc. As good as she was, the whole ordeal was, understandably, such a foreign concept to her and she was not able to cater to my individual needs as much as I would have liked.
And so, that's where I come in. Having been through the process myself, I know what it is that patients need in order to be cared for appropriately. I can help with stretching, meals, etc. I know the intricacies of what patients are going through and can ease the process to a great extent.
I am getting certified to become a CNA this coming Spring, at which point I could officially become a Home Health Aide.
I will say this as well: my main motivation for wanting to do this is because I know how difficult and frightening the whole ordeal can be. I would like to give back to this community and to people who have felt what I once felt by helping in whatever capacity I can.
Ideally, I would be available to patients undergoing surgery beginning around early May until late July. Thanks in advance to anyone who takes their time to read this.
