Hi Ted, how's it going now? Any updates?

Hi, DDD...
I am a bit better. The atrocious pain decrease, so now i can walk easier with canes and walker. But still using wheelchair...
Its visible the tibial callus formation, because i feel pain in the gap and the frontal tibia got deformed in the callus area.
In 3 days will be 2 months since surgery, so soon i will do another x-ray...
Here is cold outside, so i stay home like a good boy all the time and few friends provide me all i need...
Thank you

hi ted is there any update?

Hi, Simba....

25 March 2024 - 15 months from my first surgery and 3 months from my last surgery

What i got so far ?
My femur's callus is ok and in few months i should remove implants.
My tibia's callus is much better after graft.
The right tibia is much better than the left one, is straight, better callus, is stable and much less pain.
The left tibia is not good. Is slightly deformed outward (valgus), having knock knee, so because of that my legs standing position is bad, my sine is foeced and is visible. Also i have big pain in left tibial callus area, so i cannot start physical recovery with a deformed and painful tibia.
Unfortunatelly,  i have to do another surgery for correcting the deformity, because would be st-upid to remain with deformity after so much money spent and 15 months of suffering... isnt it ?

Here you can see the the deformity from above... In this position my ankles should touch, along with knees, but its impossible because left tibia valgus...

Here also, in my dressing mirror, i have the knees touched and the ankles impossible to touch...

https://photos.app.goo.gl/4PoUjkpwdVFKqZZU8

And here you see deformity from the front, in my dressing mirror... and the oblique line between upper legs, because the deformed left knee...

Soon i will show you few x-ray pictures...

Ohh, and i forgot to tell...
- After the graft taken from iliac bone 3 months ago, i still have pain on some flexing body muscles !
- After 3 months i still have urinary problems, because bad procedure in urethra and sphincter
- I dont know what happened, but after removing tracheal intubation, i got a permanent congestio with weird sounds when i breathe.

Just so you know...

April 2025 – 16 months since the first surgery and four months since the last one

I NEVER THOUGHT I WILL NEED TO TELL YOU THIS…

From the last surgery its been almost 4 months and my doctor NEVER ask me anything, a call, a message, a concern or a sign of care... NOTHING !
He never sent me a word, although he usually sent me for more than one year messages, every months !
I didn’t give importance, because I know he is busy.
But now, I am thinking maybe is because before leaving Istanbul I asked him to give me home my titanium nails which he removed from my tibias. I did that because are not LON or G-nails which can be reused and anyways I paid them. Each one cost 10-15.000 euros so that’s why I paid so much for this surgery, isn’t it ?...  But maybe he wanted to reuse them, who knows !
And, btw, he gave me the nails in a bag, wet and with leftover meat on them… so I cleaned my flesh remained for half hour and then I sprayed the nails with an antiseptic !.... He not even cleaned my flesh on the nails, guys !
I was shocked about that !

OK then... so, about 2 weeks ago, after viewing my new x-rays, I was shocked by the result !
Here you can see my entire legs, with left tibia in Valgus…

https://photos.app.goo.gl/dYisifVLCLobquR69

Here you can see the right tibia, which was always good and straight and now is bent 8 degrees and has zero callus in the front side…

https://photos.app.goo.gl/nLg8qiePbiGiDG7Z7

Here you can se the left tibia, which had 7-8 degrees ProCurvatum before surgery and after surgery was straightened … and now is again 6 degrees bent and no callus in the front side. Also, you can see the fibula is again not aligned.

https://photos.app.goo.gl/iPc486yiJaAPM1X27

So, guys, my both tibias are in deep ProCurvatum, my left fibula is not aligned again and also my left tibia is outward, in valgus !
Also, as you can see, the callus formed only in the back and laterally, so I stopped right away taking Calcium until the time of the repair surgery which will follow soon I hope.
All these comes with a big pain when I stand up, and a permanent semi-flexion in both knees, which if I force to straighten will result a damaged join for good !

Now, after another 8000 USD paid for the last surgery, WHICH I SHOULDN’T PAY IT AT ALL because it was his fault after losing my screws one by one… now I am worse than before the surgery, when at least the right tibia was straight and good !
Doctor promised me he will fix all my deformities and problems... and he damaged me more instead !
Now they should give me back this amount of 8000 USD !.... but doctor never answered me !

From the beginning I trusted and I always defended my doctor, no matter what he did and what happened. Also I knew he has only 2-3 LL surgeries per year, but I only relied on his traumatic experience and on his professionalism… but he abandoned me for no reason and explanation !.... or because maybe he finally realized he is incompetent and he cannot fix his mistakes and he cannot ask me again for money.
My doctor delayed my healing and recovery with one year and I didn’t complain, hoping he will fix his mistakes... but he didn’t because he is not qualified for LL !

Today I should walk normally and soon to remove my femur nails, but its been 16 months from the first surgery and I still have big pain and I couldn’t do normal recovery at all !
Few days ago, after seeing my x-rays, I messaged his secretary, named Batu, and I told him all details and I sent the x-rays to him, plus the commenting of ProCurvatum degrees and Valgus. He said that he sent all these to the doctor… but NOTHING HAPPENED ... doctor keeps ignoring me !
So, this is not good and it is unforgivable !....

As a remembering, so far I paid 120.000 euro and I am handicapped and hopeless. After all these money paid and suffer I can see he is not a good LL surgeon, he doesn’t know what he is doing and he has no LL experience !
Doctor Gokhan should never do a LL surgery again !... but you know what is funny ?... In the last few months, after the last surgery, his secretary Batu, asked me twice if I don’t advertise him in my country as the best surgeon, so my people go to him to do surgeries !... Isnt that unbelievable ?!?...
But I told him “Man, first I should be ok and healed, don’t you think ?”… And I was right, they don’t deserve any advertising after so much malpractice they did !

Guys, I can say for sure, is better for you to NEVER go in Turkey for LL. Just save more money and go to a real LL surgeon. In Turkey there is no good surgeon for Precice 2. Most of Turkish surgeons are doing LON. If you don’t have money, is better to not do this surgery at all, because the result can be dramatic !
I don’t say to which doctor to go, because you all know where to go. There are less than 10 good surgeons in LL, in the whole world !
Now, I wasted all my money and I have to find a way to fix my legs somewhere else, to a real LL surgeon, so I need to borrow money, otherwise I will remain for the rest of my life handicapped…

I was deeply saddened to hear this news. I sincerely hope you’ll be able to find better medical care in a more developed country — none of this should have happened. I’m truly sorry to hear about the neglect and the challenges you've faced. Wishing you a smooth and speedy recovery.

Yesterday marked 16 months since the first surgery... and i am still handicapped
