Stem cells
« on: December 08, 2023, 04:51:30 AM »

Has anyone gotten stem cell therapy to aid in recovery or to help out any lingering complications after the limb lengthening surgery? I’ve scoured the internet and can’t find any info on this.

Stem cell injections help speed up bone healing. According to a summary study by Professor Doan's research group, in 2010, performed on 22 patients with leg lengthening and stem cell injections, the average bone healing time was 28 days/1 cm lengthened, compared to The average bone healing of conventional leg lengthening without using stem cells is 42 days. This difference is statistically significant.

Do the stem cells need to be injected during the initial surgery, or can they be injected during consolidation aswell?

Also, what is the injection site?

Stem cells will be taken from your bone marrow and sent to the extraction system. You will have an injection during the second surgery to remove the frame and will be injected directly into the surgical site

Currently, we have been researching the use of stem cells for many other diseases not only related to bone recovery.
Some other diseases where stem cells are used include: -myasthenia gravis
- systemic lupus erythematosus
- treatment of cirrhosis
