I tried to length my tibias<LON method,5cm> in HCMC,Vietnam, by Dr.Quynh.
○Why I choosed do that in HCMC?
I was thinking it in Armenia, Turkey or Viet Nam at first.
It was important to have direct flights and packaged plan for me. Packaged plan means that it's not required additional payment basically. The place I did that was supplying it. So I've decided to try in Ho Chi Minh City.
○From arriving there to nowadays
After arriving at the airport, I stayed like hotel for a week. While I was staying there, I went sightseeing with the staff in HCMC and had medical check to check if I can have the surgery or not. And I discussed the lengthening plan(how many cm, tibias or femurs, etc) with the staff and the doctor.
The doctor suggested I can try to 7cm, but it was important to play sports ASAP and it's enough to be an average height in my city, so I've decided to try to 5cm, tibias.The reason why I didn't try femurs was that the rehab way was harder than tibias.
After 1 week, I had the surgery in the hospital. The staff and some patients said it made me pain for a while because of the surgery. In my case, I didn't
feel the pain very much but it's depends on the person. After one week, I moved to the apartment in HCMC and I started lengthening and the rehab in 10 days after I moved there. Until 3-4cm, it was easy to do the rehab, but it was getting harder than it. But I made an effort
to recovery quickly. But it's not good to do hard working, it's important to do that with taking a break.
After 2 or 3 months, the flames were removed, and I was feeling better than this 2-3months. It was difficult to walk like normal in a while because my tendons were not stretched enough. But my tendons has been stretched. Now, I can walk like before the surgery gradually.
Running as well. Nowadays, my bones are almost recoveried and there're no limits in activities. I think that the speed of recovory bones is depends on the person but anyway you have to eat foods which are included good nutrition for exapmple, Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Calsium,etc. In my opinion, the foods that this center provided are included them. And it's also imoportant to take the rehab with paying attention to fall down.
○About entertainment while staying in the apartment
IT'S VERY IMPORTANT to bring NETFLIX or Amazon prime video,video games,etc. You can enjoy it and forget to the pain. I was trying to study something but couldn't focus on it in the end. In case of me, it was needed to use a walking frame and a walking stick for 6 months.
Or Youtube is also OK.
○About the foods
You can order something food with Uber eats. It's so useful but it's important to eat with good nutriton. That's why I didn't ordered fast foods. But maybe it's ok to order it sometimes when you really want to eat it. Basically, you have to eat much while lengthening to recovery your body. Before arriving at Vietnam, I recommend you to eat and get used to ethinical asian foods at first.
○About the shopping cloths, usb cable, tv games, books and so on
Vietnam has like Amazon, the name is "lazada". So you can order by the staff or online.
○If you have a medical accident for example, skin trouble, fever, crazy pain,etc.
You should ask the staff to take you to the clinic. I had the skin trouble then. So I went to the skin clinic and got the medicine.
○Other
While lengthening, your feet muscles don't work, so I think that you should train your arms muscles to cover your life instead of feet muscles.
When taking the bathroom, it will be one of the rehab of walking.
