Fastest way to consolidate your bones
« on: September 28, 2023, 03:25:50 PM »

As the topic is saying, what do I need to do, to speed up the recovery? Supposedly Im doing all the basic stuff, however, are there some things that I should definitely look into? Can I like, walk a lot with crutches? Will long walks with crutches have a substantial impact on bone consolidation?

The mixture of magnesium and spirulina is powerful for rapid and effective bone regeneration. I would also recommend creatine, which helps counteract bone and skeletal muscle mineral loss.

And well, what you have already read, high cups of food, protein, good rest, go to sleep early and, if possible, sleep without interruptions since in a sleep phase the growth hormone will be activated, which helps the muscles grow and they will recover. I REPEAT REST IS THE KEY, IT HAS TO BE QUALITY.

And finally you must make sure to exercise properly, I am not just referring to physical therapy but to perform certain exercises with your body weight once your legs are more resistant and then you will begin to add small weights in squats, leg press, calves, etc. This method is known as PROGRESSIVE OVERLOAD.

I hope these three tips have been useful. Blessings.

Probably not what you want to hear, but, ultimately, things out of your control (namely, genetics) are going to be the #1 driver behind your consolidation by far.

Everything else like diet plays a minor factor (unless you do something silly like starve yourself).

Of course, diet will be a minor or even useless factor if the other two fundamental pillars such as sleep and physical activity are not respected. The genetic thing is a fact, the more muscular or larger someone's legs are, the greater the difficulty and pain there will be in lengthening them, by the way, Greekster and Growing had commented something similar.

During the lengthening process, I averaged like 4 hours of sleep a night due to discomfort and pain at night. I also was in the wheelchair like 99% of the time. I think I averaged under 100 steps on the walker per day. That was the extent of my physical activity.

Yet, I had signs of pre-mature consolidation and had to lengthen 1.33 and then later 1.66 mm a day to reach my goal of 8cm.

I had enough bone growth to be able to walk unassisted after 4 months even after lengthening 8cm.

It's really luck of the draw and mostly genetic. Things like taking calcium tablets, eating more, walking more, and so on help, but not by a huge amount.

According to Paley in his FAQ on his website (most experienced surgeon in the world) ON AVERAGE:

If you do the full 8 cm on femurs you will have to wait 2 months before being able to fully weightbear

If you do 5 cm on femurs you will have to wait 1 month before being able to fully weightbear

and if you do 5 cm tibia it will take 2 months for the same.

However it depends on age, genetics, exercise, and food...

Thanks guys. Ill look into spirulina, the rest is dependent on my genetics I guess. My sleep could be better, but Im already doing whatever I can in this regard. I do drink lots of coffee, cant live without it.

If I was you I would do femurs tho. They heal quicker, bigger height gain, less complications. According to Paley in a live video with cyborg4life he stated that if you screw up the aligment with fibula and tibia with 2 mm you will have arthisis or similiar...

We'll see, Im still on the fence about completely ruling out the follow up operation, to get another 8cm.

Fair enough the choice is yours. Femurs can look ugly if they where already a little long to begin with.  ;)
