Will LL actually open doors for me in life?
« on: August 02, 2023, 05:12:06 PM »

I'm 167 cm barefoot and with 13 cm quad LL which should be within the safe limit, I should get to 180 cm barefoot. But when I think about it, 180 cm is not really all that, it's definitely a good height, but it's not the height that will make you stand out. Considering I'd pay this insane amount of money and go through the agony of the surgery and the painful recovery, is it even worth it for me if all I will ever be is slightly above average?

Even here in Denmark where guys is allegedy 182 cm (reality is 177 cm barefoot, we get measured with shoes, hair etc. according to my doctor) you will most likely stand out by being a little taller than other guys. However it depends on your surroundings / country but either way just being taller than other guys isn't worth much if you don't have muscle, confidence, nice hair/looks, style, money and good social skills etc...

At that height, I’d say it removes discrimination rather than open doors. You won’t be “tall” but you won’t be seen as “short” which could be a benefit in your dating life or even professionally.

Of course being 180 is a lot better than being 167, this goes without saying.

This guy is a total idiot btw OP, ignore everything he says. He likes to frame things as 'you cant just be tall and not have muscles/style/whatever', rather than getting it into his thick skull that you need both of them and they're not mutually exclusive things.

Get the surgery.

Just do 8cm on femurs and you won't even care about doing tibias. It makes a huge difference at 5'6". Definitely worth it if you care about maximizing your life and have the resources to do so.

You are absolutely right. 180 is exactly the same as 167 if in the end you don't stand out...

Tehn84 You clearly don't understand what I'm saying. Does height matter? Of course it still plays a part of the puzzle if it didn't I wouldn't be here. But with that trait alone your're not a high value man if you lack everything else that I mentioned. Besides only people with a very low IQ or low confidence needs to attack other peoples personal flaws in a discussion where that has 0 relevancy because they don't have anything decent to respond. I'm simply going to ignore your bs from here like the other guy on the last post, so comment all you want, the only person your're making look stupid is yourself by behaving so childish and toxic...

I agree with belowthemean. Just do femurs and for most patients statistically speaking according to most US surgeons thinks thats enough. That's what I'm planning to do as well, unless I figure out that more height will benefit me, but highly doubt it. Besides doing femurs is safer, quicker, and more bang for your buck. Just please avoid LON since the chances of deep infection is much higher. And since your on this forum, you properly crave being taller like everybody else, so of course go for it. Your welcome to contact me if you have any other questions regarding LL.

Except you parrot the muscles/gymbro/style/game/kunfidunce/charisma thing in every single frickin post even when it's not asked or called for. No one ever said height was ALL that mattered, yet you seem to wade into every discussion saying HEIGHT ISNT ALL THAT MATTERS. Get fked, no one ever asked or cared and only tards think it's 'all' that matters. But yes, it matters a hell of a lot despite your minimisation, and we both know you're getting little/no play in your country cos you're 15cm below the median height, it doesn't matter what else you have going for you at that point you're still taking a major major hit to your SMV.

Keep watching out for those girls you're 20cm taller than (147 in Denmark!). Just lol...

" is it even worth it for me if all I will ever be is slightly above average?" Hard to say for some yes for some no. It all depends on the person

Is 13cm actually doable? I've heard that only 6-9cm is safe..

You can do 13 cm if your starting height is like above 168 cm and you do both segments. But most people find doing there femurs and getting 7-8 cm enough. I guess this factor depends on your starting height as well.
