What's the angle of varus, and why don't you want to fix it even with internals?

In some northern regions of Samogitia, the average height for 20 year old males is around 6'3''.
So yes, you can say I am striving for average. 🙃

Slight bowing would not cause any problems but if its more than a certain degree of course you need to have it corrected. Why dont you have it checked first?

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/17393449/

This paper concludes that bowleg, or varus alignment, is associated with the development of knee osteoarthritis.
However, not everyone with bowlegs will develop osteoarthritis.
Whether your 'light bowing' falls within the medically normal range or is pathological can't be determined without an X-ray image.

Therefore, I recommend that you consult with an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in knee care.
They will likely conduct a standing full lower extremity x-ray to assess your condition.

A general physician's clinic will not be able to take a full standing lower extremity x-ray, and the doctors there will not be familiar with evaluating lower extremity alignment.
Therefore, a consultation with an orthopedic surgeon is recommended.

Yes, it is. Equipment for taking standing whole lower extremity radiographs is available only in a few medical institutions. Therefore, you should call or e-mail before visiting a doctor.
If you tell them that you would like to take a standing whole lower extremity X-ray for a detailed examination of your bowleg, I think they will understand your intention.
As for the price, I do not know. Please check with the medical institution when you call.

In addition to whole lower extremity X-rays, EOS is also useful for evaluating lower extremity alignment.
You can search for medical institutions with EOS here.
However, EOS examinations are more expensive than X-rays.

Ideally if money wasn't a cost would you say I should go with eos instead of X-rays would they be better

If cost is not a concern, EOS is superior.
However, if the surgeon does not need to evaluate complex three-dimensional lower extremity deformities, X-rays are usually sufficient.

I am not an orthopedic surgeon, but I learned a lot about this surgery because of the difficulties I had with limb lengthening surgery.
Long-term problems with limb lengthening surgery are not clear because there is not enough data.
I myself am living without any problems now. And I am not too concerned about what happens in my old age.

In my opinion, which may sound extreme, people who want to enjoy their young present life without the inferiority complex of short stature should undergo LL surgery, and people who worry about their old age may not be suitable for LL surgery.

I underwent tibia lengthening surgery. As of now, my joint range of motion is completely normal.
However, I'd prefer not to disclose further details due to privacy concerns.
