"The vast majority of society see us LLers as madmen"  lmao this is why I kept it a secret.  You're out of your mind if you think people wont judge you over this procedure.  Even if it reaches a "Im glad you did what makes you comfortable in your own skin" stage there is a stark difference between what people say and feel.  If you cant hide it id rather be taller and judged tho (for those of you who cant hide it).

Ppl are so hasty about judging but many ppl I know have some worked done …

Not sure if it's random but when talking to the reporter, standing in the gym, his feet point way outwards. Given it's LLT I can't help but wonder if he got butchered.  Could be poor posture not deformity. Anyone know this guy,?

Contrary to popular belief on this forum, not all cases of LLT ends up in butchering.

He looks great, happy and healthy
His posture and walking gait will recover over time.

I wasn't suggesting all cases of LLT ends up in butchering. Most patients don't want pretty good odds of being ok but rather near certainty of being good.

I agree with you JerryTheMan. It's sad that most people choose to go with them, since you could for almost the same price do internals with dr birkholtz or dr Giotikas, which is much safer and more comfortable...

But in generel I respect most patients Desire to stay hidden, but still find it sad that most people can't stand by their decisions and are to afraid of other peoples opinions...

The problem is people opinions matter. That is the whole point of CLL, to improve your looks and people's opinions about you.
We only would waste money, time,. Physical ability and proportions just to improve what people think about us because height has nothing to do with intelligence, ability to achieve academic success or health. It is only important for dating and other social affairs

People should do it, to make themselves feel better about themselves. If people keep searching for other peoples validation and acceptance, their never going to be happy period. I'm only doing this, to satisfy myself personally, but each to their own I guess. But if you care about what other people think, you will never be free and always be a slave to others just saying...

What internal personal satisfaction do you expect to get from LL?  Improving your appearance is to impress others and change their behavior toward you.

That's your opinion. I believe that if you fix your flaws, it would be even easier to love yourself and gain more confidence, which will in turn make people like you more as a bonus. But the most important thing is to love yourself. If you just become taller and is still a loser with: low confidence, bad style, no visible muscles, no social skills it's barely going to matter becoming taller...

If all your joy in life only comes outside from other peoples acceptance and recognition your're never going to happy.

I get that, what people need to realize though, is that complications, especially with LoN, is common, almost to be expected.

This depends on the person. If I get this surgery I would never hide it because I have nothing to hide.

If some people say X about me, it's even better, filtering out some bad people is always good.

Note: at this moment I'm only a "pretender", I want to know more about this interesting procedure. Hopping to become 185 cm (6'1'') from 174 cm (5'8 ½''), but it is too expensive.
My sitting height is 92½ - 94 cm (36''½ 37''), my length of legs is 81 cm (32'') and my armspan is 180 cm (70'' 7/8).

Polvoron I agree with you. I think troughout my life as a 167 cm ish guy, I have only gotten like 4 comments about my height, from people who is either talking bs about everyone because they're insecure or people who literally has low IQ. But maybe it's worse if your're shorter than this, since i'm right at the limit where you begin to become abnormally short. At least here in Denmark. But either way I have never meet a decent human being, who had to mention my height...

I am 167 and I get comments on a regular basis. Pretty sure everybody else who has that height in a western country does as well, because it’s abnormally short.

That article miscalculated and misrepresented his height. He lengthened a total of 14.7cm which is 5.8 inches. So he is a little under 5'11", not 6 feet.

https://imgur.com/a/1LTwZcL

Thank you for posting another example HJ!

Live Life Taller have repeatedly inflated the amount of height their patients gain. It's disgusting and misleading, and once again shows how these Turkish clinics are full of liars that shouldn't be trusted.

Current LL plan:
QLL in Early 2025 using the PRECICE nail with Dr. Birkholtz.
4cm tibia, 4cm femur. One year later, re-break for another 4+4. 167cm -> 175cm -> 183cm

I wouldn't call it abnormally short. Every 10th guy I see on the street has my height. It's like a 180 cm women. It's definitly rare but not like something you haven't seen before.

Every 10th guy is not possible. In countries such as Denmark and Germany (like myself) 167 is in the 5th percentile of height distribution. Which means it’s more like every 20th Guy is your size, which sucks.

The top two limiting factors stopping short men from getting cosmetic Limb Lengthening is

1) Cost
2) Time

Most Americans live paycheck to paycheck, even though we are apparently the "richest" country (See GDP). Even those that don't live paycheck to paycheck, have very little in their savings. ( See this article for more https://fortunly.com/statistics/american-savings-statistics/ ) Point is, very few people will ever have the money for the procedure. Even going to Turkey because you want to cheap out on your legs, 35k is still a lot of money to the overwhelming majority of people. While loans might be possible, I imagine that won't be an easy process....then you have even more debt.

If you do somehow get the cash, then you're still looking at a ~6 month downtime(It could be a lot more) where you can't work since you can't even walk. There's nuance to this of course, since if you work remotely from your computer then you can continue working, or if you get a weight bearing nail then the walking situation won't be as bad(But still bad). But many people can't afford to just not work for several months, even if they do get the money for the initial procedure.

I wouldn't worry too much about its popularity making it inaccessible to us short men that actually need it.

Although, more people aware of the procedure isn't good in the sense that they'll start questioning men more about it....but then I ask myself, jaw fillers, rhinoplasty, and things like that have existed for men,  and women know all about it, yet how often do women ask attractive men with a nice jawline or nice nose if they've had work done? Never. So again I wouldn't worry too much.

I would still keep it a secret personally, because even the people that say "Whatever makes you happy" or "I support your decision" will most of the time still judge you, at least subconsciously. The difficult part is while you can hide it from strangers or maybe people you haven't seen for a decade+, what are you suppose to say to your immediate family? Your mother and father are going to notice, so you can't really hide it from them. "I had my scoliosis fixed", maybe that would work if they were...well I won't say.

That Atlanta man is quite dumb but here is the thing:
Public view on LL isn't really the problem. There are many bigger problems than peoples opinion on LL
The cost, complications, the time, proportions etc are the real things we should be worried about. It doesn't matter what some bitçhes think about the surgery.
If you are afraid the neighbors will find out, then just move out. If worried about co-workers, you can just move to a different work facility or even come up with a bunch of excuses like scoliosis, bow leg correction etc and even so, co workers opinions don't matter at all.
Although I have to say, people like that Atlanta man or Shahab mahbobian making the surgery go mainstream is not really good.

Jaki19 I guess your're right but that is still my point. It does still sucks for sure, but it's not abnormally short, because it is something people have seen before walking the streets but still rare. I had a friend who was 158 cm as a guy and literally everyone commented since they were shocked that they had never seen such a short guy before. With a height like that being abnormally short, comments will come from every person you meet almost...

7 inches? That's pretty insane even for quad lengthening. Says he was 5'5 and now 6'.

That's a total of 17.78 cm, probably 18cm to round it off/compensate for the natural curvature of his bones. He has to have gone over the studied safe limit of either bone or probably even to achieve this.

I have to agree w/ Body Builder here, compared to other cosmetic surgeries, CLL is one of those at the top where most people view it negatively, especially in this case where this is too extreme of a goal. It also doesn't help the fact that he promoted LifeLiveTaller, which is one of those clinics who doesn't even care about their patient's well being, hence probably why this guy even was opted a chance to lengthen 7 inches.

It's these situations where this surgery is being ostracized more than it already deserves. It's already a surgery that's difficult already to deal with, and then we have people like these making it look worse.

In anycase, I don't think any social media awareness is going to improve people's opinion on CLL. CLL gets accepted is the time when it also gets less invasive and patients have faster recovery. The main issue is it's difficult, so it's viewed as a surgery for people crazy enough to undertake the pain and a minimum of a year of being basically close to disabled and it doesn't help the fact we have people like that guy who has goals of a true madman. Forget about the costs, if people can find a way to make CLL easier, like being able to artificially grow cartilage and regrowing growth plates, people will view it in a much better light.

For now, don't expect anything, and it's much better that way most people still don't know about it.

Ideal goal: (178cm~180cm) 5'10~5'11 with two separate bilateral(femur+tibia) lengthening / (183cm) 6' at max safe goal
Normal goal: (176cm) 5'9 with femur lengthening
Minimum goal: (173.5cm) 5'8 with femur/tibia lengthening

Plan in 2025~2026 when Precice Max comes and has some good outcomes.

LL is a womans worst fear.  Your sh!tty genes being undetected to them.

Its like a man discovering his wife had a giant honking nose before doing rhinoplasty times 10.

And men dont like it either because of jealousy.  They would rather you remain short and not competition.

Nobody will ever like this surgery.

Who cares about children. Getting children as a man is something you should avoid. Here are the reasons why:

1. You don't have any sparetime left, so your life only consists of being a slave for your kids, boss and society.

2. Children always like their mother better than there father, because they're biologically more attached to their mother and mothers usually are more easy going.

3. Your partner usually doesn't have time for your needs anymore like sex, hanging out, food etc.

And if a women thinks that you are stupid because you decided to do something good for your mental health to improve it, shes an idiot who doesn't deserve to be with you.
