Female - worth it?
« on: June 16, 2023, 12:09:30 AM »

Hi everyone!

I am a 24 year old female with height 162-163cm.

I have the past couple of years developed height neurosis, however I very sceptical about the whole journey and losing almost a year of my life to gain max 5-8cm.

Do you think this surgery is worth for me and that it will improve my life quality?

Also to the guys of this forum; is height one the important factors when you approach a girl?

Regarding physical appearance, guys will look at your face way before they even consider your height. Just be glad that getting plastic surgery in the face is way easier than LL.

Okay. To answer your last question, absolutely not. Atleast not in the way you think, girls dont need height like men. You can be short, average or tall but as long as you are a pretty girl guys will want you. The same cant be said for men. This surgery will in most cases drastically improve the way you feel about yourself and the way others perceive you, theres no denying that. But you gotta really debate on if this procedure is something you can A. Actively do and finish. And B. Actually gain something from. When guys do CLL especially if they were already good looking before it typically notice a huge rise in girls giving them attention. Wether it be through tinder of irl. But again if you are already a pretty girl i dont know if the trade off would be worth it. You said you have neurosis, if you dont mind me asking where do you live? Are the girls on average in your area very tall specifically? If your in a taller country then i can see how dysmorphia definitely kicks in and at that point id say you do whats best for your life and your future.

This🙏🏽. NEVER have i ever looked at a girl and thought “wow i like/dont like her height” thats just something guys dont give a 💩 about. If OP is already a very pretty girl id truly advice against this. The mental struggle of an already average height girl going through this is just something i wouldnt wish on anyone.

Hi and thank you for responding!

I live in scandinavia....

Correct me if im wrong but it does seem like your about  2 inches below the average height for a women there? If thats the case i do understand how that feels. I aswell am only around 1.5 inches below average and have booked mine because in my country girls and guys tend to be a little bit taller. Depending on your living situation and other factors i would say you should do a safe 5cm. If you decide to go more then that, thats all on you. But i personally would stick to 5cm. That way there you get a nice 2 inches and you will pre much be the average height of a women worldwide. Sticking with 5cm will ensure you  (most likely) have a good recovery and can actually
Keep the majority of your athleticism and agility. Continue to do your research, sit on the thought and make the decision that you think is right. Best of luck to you, we are all here to support ya🤟🏽

I’m curious: How can a woman develop height neurosis? You know it has 0 effect on male attraction, so why would you care?

What's your ethnicity?  Weight?  Body type?  Do you have a pretty face?  I think the benefit you'll get from LL depends on these.

If you really don't like your stature, and you have the money... go for it.

This is not about "average height is X", "men like A or B"... this is about how do you feel about your body.

Also, we don't know your orientation, so "men like A or B" could not be applied here.

Because our lives are much more than reproduction.

In my case, I prefer tall women. I would not discard a woman just for being short, but tall women (even 6' tall) looks great under for my point of view, if they are tall and strong, even better.

Note: at this moment I'm only a "pretender", I want to know more about this interesting procedure. Hopping to become 185 cm (6'1'') from 174 cm (5'8 ½''), but it is too expensive.
My sitting height is 92½ - 94 cm (36''½ 37''), my length of legs is 81 cm (32'') and my armspan is 180 cm (70'' 7/8).

Well I mean yeah since you are a Scandinavian.

Indeed I had some infatuation to tall girls but that does not mean if you are tall you are attractive to me. It also depends on how long your legs are, how slim you are, etc.. I am emphasizing this because I knew a 168cm tall girl(Well we are Chineses) and because of her bad stature she looks pretty much my height(I am only 162-163cm...) and her face is also not ok so she is not attractive to me even though she is tall.
'
But my aesthetic view is that, controlling other variables, tall girls are more attractive to me.

It's hard and you'll not be 100% after the surgery. Maybe try going to a shrink.

Most guys prefer shorter girls and 164 is the norm in most western countries

That is true, but OP specifically asked us what we think of a girls height when we first meet them, so i think its safe to assume she may be straight

Most guys according to statistics don't care about height. You can google it yourself :) Your're actually taller than most women since the average global height for women is 160 cm. For a women you its socially acceptable to wear high heels, so just do that instead. Many men find it sexy as well...

These are all very good points but i think we are all misunderstanding OPs issue. She said shes developed a neurosis. Heels, similar to lifts for men wouldnt fix the problem because as soon as she takes them off she would be right back to worrying about her height. We see This same thing with men who do this procedure do to a dysmorphia. They often started wearing lifts but it just made it worse over time as they realized how much better treatment they were getting, only to be devastated when they inevitably end up removing them at home. I also dont think the problem is with guys and attraction because like multiple others have stated already, guys not only dont care about height, but if the problem WAS geared toward that, then she would be better off getting the dozens of other cosmetic surgeries guys ACTUALLY care about (boob jobs. BBL. Face reconstruction etc). LL wouldnt improve the attraction of a women in most scenarios so i truly do think this is more a mental problem for OP then one created by society

I think to answer this, it's worth considering why height is an important attribute to possess for men. I think the general consensus is that height on a man is attractive to women because it's seen to offer protection: it's a sexually dimorphic feature that -- something seen as distinctly manly.

Conversely, I like smaller women for the same reason -- because it makes me feel more manly and able to protect. I'd always gravitate to average height or smaller. In fact, I'm really into the cute look; when I think about it, nearly all the girls I've ever liked have been 5'3 and under. I just find smaller women attractive I guess, as it emphasizes the prospect of being a protector.

I'd hazard a guess that most men feel the same. It's certainly not something I would be worried about as a woman at all. In fact, I have tall female friends who despise being tall for the reasons I've explained.

So for dating, I'd say it wasn't important at all for a girl to be tall.

For your height, no it doesn't.
And your legs will definitely look worse than before and in women good looking legs without scars and normal proportions between femurs and tibias are very important compared to men where the height gain benefit definitely outweighs the proportionan and scar issues.

So wear heels more usual if you are not ok with your height and stop thinking about it.
LL won't give you any real advantage.

I don't know why you feel that way but in my opinion you should not do it. It is not worth the risk and complications. And you are a girl and height is not that important (Unless you wanna be a model or something). I'd say focus on other things. I know this girl who is 179cm but even a blind guy wouldn't date her.

I don’t think being taller does much to boost a woman’s attractiveness. If anything, there’s probably a slight preference for shorter women in general.

That being said, there may be other reasons not related to dating where height could be beneficial for women. For instance, I imagine taller women are taken more seriously in a business / professional setting.
