Stryde Nail return
« on: June 12, 2023, 01:43:37 AM »

Hey guys I'm new here, most likely getting this surgery done as soon as the stryde nail returns. Is there any insider information about the return of the nail? Some say 23-24' however I've also heard its not coming back. Any info is helpful thx

Cyborg4life said in a live podcast video a month ago, that he would find it wierd if the new nail ain't out this time next year. But Paley said in another live podcast video with Cyborg4life, that at the earliest it would be out Q4 2024. So I personally expect it to be out Q2 2025. If you have the money right now I would personally just do Precice 2. It's still a very secure nail that doesn't give problems unless you walk without walker and ignore the safety measures. And then you don't have to wait multiple years maybe...

JerryTheMan said Stryde = "PreciseMax" will be back later this year.

"It's coming Nov 2023 for select US clinics..."

Cyborg 4 Life told me that this fall (nov '23) a few US Clinics will receive the new nail. A year later the other clinics and so on.

Can you actually walk without a walker with Stryde (assuming it does return with the same properties) during lengthening (assuming you’re average weight)?

curious about this aswell, I plan to do the procedure either later this year or early next year so if I can get the stryde nail and be able to walk around faster after the procedure, that would be great

The material of PRECICE MAX is titanium. I was told it is weight bearing nail🤔. The staff of Paley Institute replied me I can book a surgery in November this year, but I don’t want to be the first one.

Did they mention anything about price? Because titanium is about 30x more expensive than steel = stryde.

Price and the actual weight it can hold has not been released yet. It will be called the Precise MAX and a few select clinics in the USA will receive them first around Nov 2023 (dr d, and Paley, and probably a few more). Early 2024 it will start rolling out to more clinics.

I'm guessing it's going to be 5-10k more than what the clinic charges for Precise 2.2 right now.

If this is the case, we needn't expect much of a jump in the amount of weight the new nail can bear. The current precise nails are already composed of titanium.

Unless the manufacturer somehow manages to encapsulate a material that is able to bear more weight than titanium with the latter.

So since precise 2.2 and stryde are both made by Nuvasive does this mean Stryde was basically Precise 3.0?

With Stryde, as long as you didn't have the thinnest diameter nail, it was fully weight bearing. I switched from walker to cane about two weeks after surgery. The cane is for balance and stability and isn't weight bearing.

Precise-2 is also made from titanium and it is non-weight bearing...so what's going to be the difference? I don't trust Paley, he was the first to use stryde and he kept his mouth shut until the stryde problem became widely aparrent in other countries by other doctors. I am sure he knew the problem much-much earlier but chose to not say anything that could make him lose a few extra thousands of dollars!

you are nuts! why would paley risk his reputation and his tens of millions of dollars net worth for the chance to get sued to hell if what youre saying is true?

imagine if what youre saying is true and it came out that he hid side effect data from the public for the stryde nail, he would be destroyed!

i mean come on, are you even hearing yourself?
