Starting to feel very nervous as durgery date closes in
« on: June 01, 2023, 02:32:04 PM »

I never thought reading these entries that one day it may be my turn, and though months away, it is closing in.
I am really scared.
I have never had surgery before, i hear a lot of people stop clicking earlier than hoped, and i am terrified about the ITB band and side effects from the ITB band.

Is this a normal feeling? Anyone else scared or was scared?

I personally couldn't hold in my excitement. I could feel the endorphins just thinking about it. That is because I really needed this surgery, not once but even twice.

You have something to lose or to gain, depending on the outcome. But as someone who started at the bottom, I had nothing to lose.

This shows again that this surgery is optional to some, and necessary to others.

I had incredible excitement and nervousness at the same time, as most do.  Your feelings are normal and both are merited.

My mom and girlfriend were crying as I was being rolled in for surgery. Each day that led up to the night before the surgery I got more and more nervous. I was so nervous to the point I was shivering the second I got checked in to the hospital. You will wake up and be in pain, but just know it’s very temporary.

Find peace in the fact that you will come out of surgery, and start your lengthening journey. It’s not easy but in the end, you’re 3 inches taller. There’s a new life on the other side of the pain.

Yea I'm less than 5'5" as a guy in the US so I'm legitimately really short.
getting go 5'7" or 5'8" i'd still be considered short lmao but that just goes to show how bad my current situation is. I'm THAT short.

my biggest concern with this surgery is the recovery. I want to be able to walk normally and begin working out again afterwards. Losing my muscle gains is gonna be sad but as long as I know I can train afterwards, even if it's just mostly upper body, I'll be happy
