3d printing peripheral nerves
« on: May 25, 2023, 01:08:35 AM »

Would it be possible in the future to cut the nerves after the lengthening process is complete or before and then graft new 3d printed nerve tissue between the gaps. The tendons will always be an issue but other tissues such as skin and muscle tissue seem to adapt well to the lengthening process, leaving only the nerves. If we could 3d print and graft new nerve tissue between the vertical nerves that run from the spine down the leg, we could get rid of many of the nerve damage issues and sensations that are caused by an over stretched nerve. This would be very effective for large gains as the nerves have a higher chance of being over stretched at that length. This would be very costly and it possibly would not work but its a decent thought.
