Antibiotics after surgery are actually bad
« on: May 09, 2023, 04:04:08 PM »

Antibiotics are usually given before the surgery to prevent infection risk.
Some Turkish doctors prescribe antibiotics before and after surgery, sometimes for the entire lengthening period. This is terrible because if you actually do have an infection, you may end up creating a superbug, causing the bacteria to be extremely resistant to antibiotics.
If the Turkish doctors just stopped giving patients infections during the actual surgery, their patients wouldn't have such problems with bone infections.

One more reason to do a lot of research with whatever Turkish doctor you go to. Make sure the hospital is EU certified, and ask about how many patients in the hospital have had infections after surgery. They should have a number, if they don't, it's unregulated.

It’s not fair to denounce all (ethnically) Turkish physicians ; presumably you’re targeting only a specific working group. It’s cool you made that clear.

Were you given access to an injectable antibiotic?
