How much giotikas allows to lenghten his patients femurs with G- nail?
Im  fairly young.
Will he decide turning the lenghtening phase, or set the max at the beginning?
Im not looking to lenghten more than 8 cm, but i would really like to set my goal at 8.

He let Ozboy do 8.2cm with gnail and I believe there are some cases of people doing a bit more

Might be good for you to PM Ozboy and also this guy http://www.limblengtheningforum.com/index.php?topic=80747.0 who both did 8cm or more, they probably have some good advice 

Basically after the x-rays each time is a good idea to discuss this with the doctor, ex: when get close to 8cm might be good to talk to him about what he thinks based on your range of motion/x-rays etc

Your body that will answer this question. You can do it comfortably if your starting length is long, usually at 8 femurs. It depends on the flexibility of the body and the length of the legs rather than the doctor and the method.

Dr Giotikas is a middling doctor. He doesn’t understand orthopedic principles as much as other doctors.

Doctor has no control how much you want to lengthen.
He can provide his professional opinions and advices - functions are important than length.
It is depended on the patients' decision and sometimes they are vain and gullible.

Nobody can physically stop the patient lengthening more on gnail (up to 10cm, which is the nails max). You don't require any equipment to lengthen the nail so it's not like Precise.

All any doctor can do is offer his advice. Whether the patient takes such advice is ultimately up to them.

they really should not forcibly stop a patient. I don't think forcibly stopping is right. 

BUT if something goes wrong because you decided to lengthen more than

the recommended length, that's on you not the doctor.

In either case, it's always on you. It's hard to find a doctor that accepts his mistakes and is willing to pay for it.

Dr Giotikas is not one of those doctors that can accept his mistake! I should know since I’m his previous patient.

I agree. Many doctors have hard time admitting their mistakes and seem to care only about money.
