There's the one Betz patient on IG, but how is there lack of anyone else that did tibias with Betz or Guichet or any other mechanical clicking nail? Perhaps there are more poor outcomes?
Just precise and LON. Is it inherently rare that someone does mechanical weight bearing on tibias? I don't know if Stryde worked in the tibias.
1.tibias take longer to heal(lesser blood supply) and are more painful(tighter compartment).Infact, guichet discourages people from doing tibias (there was this guy simons on this forum who got convinced by guichet to do 10cm more on his femurs after he had already done 7.5cms on them a few years back , rather than going for tibias)
2.tibia surgery is more complex since you have to insert the nail through the knee joint and take the fibula into account as well(incorrect pinning can lead to rotational/misalignment defects(aka floating fibula - fibula gets left behind compared to tibia)
3.Like medium drink of water said , most people do femurs first(that's the adage even on this forum) and most do the surgery only once
stryde works for tibias , see My evolution's diary
