Peter Thaller is very expensive. More than 80K just for operation.

A good option would be Dr. Franz Birkholtz. He’s considered a top notch surgeon with a good team behind him. However, he doesn’t offer any weight bearing nails.


Dr. Becker offers WB nails but I don’t know much about him. The only thing I know is that people on this forum are giving positive feedback about him and his team.

Yeah I maybe should have gone to you instead. I did femurs in Europe with g-nail and then I heard that USA doctors do not do nail removal for g-nail (?) because of different instrumentation (?)

May I ask, some people on here seem to be having the surgery with all their savings etc as a surgeon what do you recommend, having some extra funds incase of complications etc or if you go with the right surgeon is having the right amount enough?
