I'm 174.5 tops, and i'm going to get to 182-183 (with stretching, glucosamine, and assuming 1pm height)
6'2 would be another 5+cm..

I'd stop at 6'0.5 if i were you , between 60 - 6'1

What's that like 175 -> 188? It's possible and there are plenty of people that went through it with good outcomes, but you need to do 2 surgeries ( most people do 8cm on femurs + 5cm on tibia ). At that point it's a matter of if you can afford the time and monetary investment.

I just don’t understand why this is being condoned? 5” increase is just a crazy amount to do irrespective if done over 2 surgeries.

With 2 surgeries very possible. With one impossible.

Man I think doing this twice is going down a big rabbit hole. Asking for athletic abilities is like animals in the slaughterhouse asking for freedom. Stupid comparison but look, it takes long to recover from the first surgery then another long while until you do the second one, then the same stuff again. Eventually you may recover fully after maybe 5 years but I would fully get athletism out of your head. If you care about that don’t ever do this surgery, not even the first one. If I cared much about me climbing again asap I would be extremely miserable. I made peace with myself knowing I may never do it again.

Proportions with 2 surgeries is no problem, only potentially a problem if you do a large amount on one segment.

Realistically, I definitely do want 2 surgeries. 5 inches I know is a lot, and you would need to space it out to ever do it. I would consider doing only 3-4 inches. Would this amount be doable with a 4 week gap in surgeries? I know many institutes do that option

Only do this surgery with a very Reputable Doctor.
There are so many doctors who will do upto 8 cm on the tibia and 10 cm on the femur and then end up with disasters which Then reputable doctors need to fix. It's happened with me.
Do your research, This is a once in a lifetime thing. Don't try and rush it. IT is expensive but don't try and save money here. u can do that in other areas of your life.
