Hello, I'm new to LL and I have many questions to ask.
« on: December 05, 2022, 12:53:15 AM »

I'm around 174-175 cm. which is considered as tall in Asia. but I'm not satisfy with my height because I believe that this isnt my potential height.
you may ask "what make you say that ?"
1. I live in a third world country. income inequality leads to terrible nutritions.
2. I got bullied to hell, caused me to shut-in myself in a room for many years. basically, I dont do sport.
3. dysfunctional family. my parents always fighting. they dont really care about me. so I escaped reality to video game, barely get any sleep & ruin my internal clock.

now, my ideal height is 190cm. I always want this height since when I was a kid. so here's my question to you guys.
1. Is it possible to gain a whopping 15cm ? I actually did a bit of research (looking on internet, Cyborg4Life) or even contact some doctor. most of them often recommend 10cm at maximum. but Ive seen a guy named "Apo" and "Sedat" did like 20 cm. is there anyone here that went 13-15cm ?
2. Is it going to ruin how I actually look ? I have absolutely zero idea about human proportion. so this is my biggest worrying for 2 years. you see, I have a very long legs, short torso and short arms. when I learnt that my wingspan is shorter than my height. I had to take antidepressant pill. it makes me so sad to the point where I cried so hard. I dont know why I have to be born this way. that being said, I have no idea about how to measure this. so I hope Im wrong.. or maybe Im just coping (but one thing for sure, my legs are indeed long)
3. Can you guys recommend me a really good doctor that are not too expensive ? I contacted a few doctors before I came here (Dr.Donghoon, Dr.Sarin, Dr.Huldu,Dr.Mirzoyan) but I heard that Dr.Sarin and Dr.Huldu have bad reputation which scared the hell out of me considering that I actually have both of them in my priority list due to the price (and both of them offers more than 10cm while the other two didnt). I know what good doctor arent cheap but what choice do I have when Im living in third country world ? Ive seen people here around my age (22-24) have money to go through the procedure. trust me, people in their 20s here will never ever dream to have that such amount.

but Im not plan on giving up. this meant a lot to me as it effects my mental health.

sorry for my bad English and thank you in advance for wasting your time to help me. I really appreciate it.

You're above average height for your country, you dont need the surgery.  Id try therapy before breaking your legs as it seems you have some mental barriers to get past particularly with your family.

Thanks you, but I already met a therapist. I also moved out of the house and live alone. the only thing left that I need to get rid of is Height Dysphoria.
I'm aware that my height is above average, I still find myself not satisfying with my height, you know ? same as people who were 178-180 cm but aim for 185-190 cm.

If you  live in a third world country you most probably will never have the money for 2 safe LLS where the femurs one costs easily more than 50k dollars.
In the best case you would do 1 external tibia LL which will put you at 1.80cm safely (with a good doctor) and you'll have a great height not only dor Asia but for the whole planet.

You have a short man syndrome without being short and it happened because you were bullied and your family wasn't cared about you. All these won't change even if you dreaming of becoming 1.90 and thinking that you'll be suddenly powerful and macho.
So get some muscles, go to some doctor and if some day you have enough money, do one tibia LL and consider yourself done. There is nothing more to add about your case and your questions that have been answeres tenths of times in that forum.

1. Yes you can technically do 15 cm but it's extremely hard and not worth it at your circumstance. There are people within the dwarfism community that did 30 cm with good results ( by that I mean the patient is satisified ) but that's probably because it greatly improves their day to day tasks ( ex: reaching the kitchen counter, using public equipment, etc ).

2. Yes, anything above 10 cm can potentially be noticeable in proportions and at 15 cm most definitely. Again the people that did 30 cm also did arm lengthening to compensate for proportions.

3. If you are in a 3rd world country don't even think about Dr. Lee since his prices are like 120-150k if you are planning to do bilateral and I don't think he would do 15 cm. Turkey is the best place if you want to get the balance of both expertise and money. If you want to try some place cheaper that will be willing to do 15 cm maybe try India but seeing their hospital, staff, and facility I wouldn't want to do it even if they paid me.

Turkey  for LL is a big no also. If someone doesn't have enough momey to do LL in a first world.country then he should not do it.
As in India, many ended up crippled in Turkey too.

Finally, dwarves have much more flexible soft tissues than normal people and thats why they could legthhen these amount like 20-30 cm which would cripple any normal person.

seek therapy, not this.  Just enjoy being being 5'9" for F sake.  Also, you already said you have long legs and a short torso, so no...this procedure isn't for you, unless you want to look like Mike from Monsters, Inc.

Lot of mental health issue people come to this forum but never do LL. It's a waste of time talking to these people. This guy has a lot of issues in life but height is not one of them.

Akasha limblenthening is not something so simple. There can be all sort of problems and complications. Also you need to be able to live with discomfort and some pain for 3 months to reach 8cm. 10 days ago I talked to a guy who was going to do LON on femurs after one week he wanted the device to be removed.

I think CLL is for people who are really really obsessed about their height like me. If you are that obsessed and money is an issue for you, you don't need to find 100k+ to get it done with Dr. Paley or Dr. Assayag. You can get it done in Turkey. I think after the US, Turkey is #1 in cosmetic surgeries. Just make sure the surgeon is not in the beginning of the learning curve. Ask them how they handle complications. Also find a place that offers full package. You need some solid physical therapy for this surgery.
