I am aware that right now forearm lengthening is risky. However, I would like to know that if there is any updates on this lengthening segment? Will there be possibility that any new technology is going to help this lengthening to be less risky? And what are your thoughts on this?

It isn't the technology (or lack of) that's the problem with forearm lengthening. It's the curvature and the small diameter of the bones that's the problem. When a deformity is being corrected, there's usually still an improvement in that area that makes the lengthening worth it. With a normal forearm, you're only going to worsen pronation and supination movements by lengthening it, as well as make the bones more brittle. Why would any doctor lengthen the forearm for cosmetic purposes as the most risky segment to lengthen when lengthening the humerus is the safest segment to lengthen with the fastest recovery?

Insanity with current technology.. No surgeon will offer this surgery unless the patient has a congenital deformity.
