Does anyone suffer from ankle pain after Tibia lengthening?
« on: October 29, 2022, 01:54:29 PM »

Since fibular migration is a thing that can happen if a sydesmosis screw isn’t placed properly (which I have seen in a lot of X-rays).

This supposedly can cause ankle arthritis and ankle pain, however I have never really seen people complain about it here.

I have some ankle pain in my right foot, but my screw was placed quadricottically so it shouldn’t be causing pain. Yet I still have it.  It’s been nearly 5 months since my surgery.  It’s coming from the place where the screw was placed, so it can easily be pain coming from the screw.

What’s everyone’s thoughts on this?

The fibula moves upwards when lengthening the tibia
isn't fibula fixated with a extra screw for safety?
