I just watched a tik tok video.  A girl made it as a reaction to the recent GQ article on limb lengthening.  Despite her video being in shock and disapproval I looked at the comments and nearly all of them were men saying they would get it and they understood why people have it done.  I was surprised to see that.

I think the procedure is too invasive and expensive for it to gain wide spread adoption.  But I think its going to become common place for rich people in particular who have the funds and time.  Dating apps that screen men for height are also accelerating the interest.  Or maybe I've been hanging around on this board too long and am just biased?

You are biased. The majority of men who are not tall would never think of undergoing the procedure even though many of them sometimes may think about wishing to be a bit taller. Also to add, I never heard of guys 175cm and up complaining about their heights besides people on this forum.

This situation is the same as other cosmetic surgeries. People know about those surgeries and it seems like they are getting popular through social media (nose job, Lipo, whatever) but most people don’t want to go through any surgeries even though they are insecure about something.

One of my friends who is also short joked about getting this surgery when we were talking about our younger days or something. He’s never gonna do this surgery. I know a girl who has mentioned she hates her side profile and nose for a long time, she has yet to get any surgery. Same thing with people I know who dont like their weight (think they’re too skinny or fat) which is something you don’t even need surgery for but they won’t do much about it.

I don't think LL numbers will ever match Brazillian butt lifts or boob jobs. It's not easy to afford plus you need both time and money to get this done.

I mean it's already blowing up in Korea where you need to wait on average 1 - 2 years to get appointment because so many people are wanting this surgery. If you also look at Japanese twitter space there are also a huge demand over there ( although Japan doesn't really have that many cosmetic LL surgeons so they usually go overseas - mostly Turkey ). If China didn't ban cosmetic LL I would also guess it would have been a pretty popular medical tourism destination.

5+ months out of your life, lengthening, and rehab etc
Surgery required, painful even though safer these days
Huge mental toughness, meticulous planning, stretching for 3-4+ hours daily after
No more stryde foe foreseeable future etc (Betz the best one on market imo)

And we're in a global recession.
