I was browsing through a Korean LL forum and saw a post where someone had a broken pin and just wanted to share.

I don't usually write thing like this, but today I have a special and very grateful event that happened, so I'm writing it.
On the 81st day of my LON, while I was working hard to rehabilitate, the pin on the inside of the right side broke. It was so loud that even the people next to me were surprised! As the pin burst so did my mentality as well.
I called Dr. Im's personal cell phone number so he picked up immediately but unfortunately he had a long weekend so he said to meet again Tuesday morning at the hospital.
But after 10 minutes, Dr. Im called me again and said he will be going back to the hospital at 5 pm so meet him then.
Personally, one of my biggest fear was getting my pin broken, so I felt very grateful when he said that. My anxiety/worries were lifted since I didn't have to wait until Tuesday.
When I arrived at the hospital, Dr. Im helped me out of the taxi, took me to the second floor in a wheelchair, and started taking measurements on the operating table. Dr. Im told me, if I called 10 minutes late, he probably would be in a plane going to Jeju... Turns out, when I called earlier, he was on his family trip to Jeju Island, but I heard he canceled everything and returned. (How much will it cost if I cancel the flight 10 minutes before? ).
I said again that I was very grateful to the Doctor and that I was sorry to the family, but with a calm smile, he said that it was okay, and that these kind of things happen and that immediate treatment should be implemented.
I've seen a lot of doctors so far, but I think it's the first time I've met someone who takes the patient as the most important person.
After the treatment, I tested if I could walk properly, and after confirming that I was walking well, Dr. Lim helped me get into a taxi.
Even those who are planning/worrying about surgery, think about which Doctor you should be going to.
Once again, I apologize for canceling Dr. Ims family trip and that I am grateful for his swift response. Next time I come back for my checkup, I hope to thank you again.

Further point: Dr. Im doesn't have an intnternational social media presence like Dr. Lee but he's very well known in the Korean LL community. He's the 2nd most popular LL surgeon in Korea, but he completed more LL cases than Dr. Lee.
