Odd, false feeling of movement in femur
« on: October 12, 2022, 08:29:05 PM »

Anyone who also did internal femur lengthening, did you ever feel a sensation as if it feels like your leg is moving, even though it really isn’t? I was moving my leg side to side while keeping my feet planted on my bed and felt it. No pain though.

Yep, I definitely do feel that.
Weirdest feeling ever, although not painful.

I have a G-nail in the femurs so I thought it was the rotation of it that caused it, but it's not.

As I lengthen further though l, this feeling is becoming more rare. it was very pronounced and I used to have it very often right after surgery.

I guess it may happen if your nail is rotating from inside as you do that move.

I read about you. I may have the same symptoms as you. I also recently had femur lengthening surgery. Immediately after the release of the IT band, I felt uncomfortable, and from that time on, my knee became unstable. Did you notice any discomfort in your knee immediately after the release? Also, does the symptom persist?
