Thanks! excited as well - kind of feels surreal as I have been wanting to do this for a very long time.
I haven't been measured by Dr Betz team yet - that will be in a few more weeks. I have seen 1-2 cm discrepancy when my doctor measured me at 169.5cm instead of 171cm - it's a mixture of measuring device/technique and time of day. I think it simply varies a bit from device to device and how they read the measurement (i.e. above the line or just below) - it doesn't really matter other than psychologically at the end of the day - it's a very small difference.
So the question I am left with is - soft release (hash the band) or ITB cut. Again to be clear Dr. Betz (well actually I spoke to Dr. Axel) suggested that the soft release was better as I could be mobilised immediately where a "hard" release/cut would lead to longer recovery. His thinking is to do the soft release (hash the band) and then based on my progress and tightness, they would do a second soft release around the 8cm mark if necessary.
Ah, that is brilliant.
It is also surreal for me too by the way, and it must be for you. I hope you get to your dream height. Make sure you measure evening height, chin down, back straight standing as tall as you can 1-2 times before your consultation, and then tell me what they measure you as.
How did you manage to get hold of Dr Becker?
IMO , i think we need to see what ITB releases other people are getting. I wouldn't mind a stronger as opposed to softer/weaker ITB release, because it appears for people like us, who will go around 7-8 on Femurs, it will seriously reduce wide legs, tension etc.
This is what i am so excited Dr Betz and Becker, two great surgeons are offering this ITB! Before people used to go abroad to get it done after the lengthening.
I would rather get it done to begin with.
