I sit conceivable that spending 6-7 months prior to any surgery being able to perform splits, and highly acrobatic feats, being young (25-30), and building significant upper body muscular strength, stretching the ITB would help in any significant way when it comes to lengthening?
I hear different views, and also agreement that your muscles will tighten anyway, and ITB release is essential these days when it comes to Femur lengthening.
I am hoping to get a lot of upper body muscle mass (to help with mobility at first) and to master the splits and become extremely flexible. (6-7 months is the time it may take to be able to finally do the splits, and this may include some degree of ?both front and maybe slide splits).
I have been advised not to gain a lot of lower body mass before the surgery, as it means ?more pain and adaption needed due to a higher muscle mass/density.
So i will focus on upper body mass/strength, and extreme lower body flexibility, posture, ITB stretching, splits etc.
I was wondering what you all thought about this?
This surgery is not easy. For many of us, it will be a secret. It will be invasive, it will be painful. I want to approach this and manage every detail and have contingency plans for everything.
If this surgery succeeds, it has the potential to be truly life changing.
