From the video it looks like your feet are pointing a bit to the sides when walking. Is this due to you still recovering and adapting to the new height?

I just need to strengthen my leg and hip muscles, especially the gluteus muscles, a little more. And practice with more walking with my feet pointing forward.

Have you considered aquatic therapy, like walking in a pool?
I’m not sure what the exact objective benefits would be, but for sure you would be able to focus on your leg movement with a bit of assisted buoyancy from the water removing some strain from your legs, making it easier on you to walk.

Maybe this could lead to better results than just a treadmill as you isolate the walking gate from the strain of the weight on your legs:

As in, you focus on the strength of your muscles through the gym, and you focus on the walking gate in the aquatic exercise?

If I can give some input on your latest video from the Bay Area, maybe take some slower strides when walking.

I didn't drive during lengthening, nor is it recommended during lengthening. You might need extra force to slam the brakes or have a car mishap (like flat tire or accident).

Even after a year since surgery, the scars are slowly and steadily becoming less visible.

Thanks for the helpful video.
In the radiograph, the callus has not yet bridged the cortex in certain areas.
Therefore, I believe that the doctor's policy of waiting for 6 months before removing the rod, and performing only syndesmotic screw removal during the surgery scheduled for October, is correct.

Looking forward to hearing about how the femur rod removal and tibia screw removals will affect the athletic ability. Especially removing the tibia ankle screws could improve your walking gait when doing the walking on a straight line exercise.

I think I remember some stories about how rod and screw removals can create micro cracks that require some time to heal. So maybe go easy until new years to be safe.

It's finally coming up soon - my femur rod removal surgery. While my tibia rods will stay inside my tibias for about 5 to 6 more months, the syndesmotic screws (the long screws that secure the fibula to the tibia) will be removed during the same surgery.

I was able to walk on the same day with crutches after surgery. I think you will be able to do so as well.

With both femur and tibia rod removal, you might have to wait a day or more to start walking on crutches. Ask your LL doctor.
