I learned that many LLers in East Asia or Southeast Asia ,they have lengthened the tibia a lot(like 170cm lengthen 8cm tibia ,usually with an economical method LON). I see that most of the forums suggest that 6cm or 6.5cm is the limit of tibia, why is there such a big difference？Maybe LL is not very normative in third world countries？Are there any racial differences like asians are more likely to lengthen the tibia？Or other reasons？
I'm a 170cm East Asian male, very slender, skinny type，plan to lengthen the tibia by 6.5cm.I don't usually like to exercise, my exercise requirement is just jogging，so I don't have high demands on athletic ability.Can I go for more than 6.5cm?like 7cm or 7.5cm?

I thought 8 cm is the safe limit based on the diary video I saw on YouTube. Maybe I got it wrong I don't know.

Are you doing LL in Asia? Where are you now? If I were you I would consider Korea first and try to reach Dr.Lee!

well if you lengthen tibia pass 5cm, very likely you'll destroy a lot of nerves and suffer long term complications. 1 member on this forum I knew who lengthened 7cm is Sweden. He has a very detailed diary up until years after his recovery. You should checkout his diary & make your own judgement.

Or maybe a safe way to do it, do LL on one leg, and another once the leg healed. That could also be the reason why some wanted to do tibia and femur.

@OP: you can do femur it can tolerate more length. But still with femurs I wouldn't cross 6cm.

If you want more height, do both segments. It's twice the cost but it's your health & life, so no point in saving money here. Also better proportion = good looking.

I read some posts from Sweden and medium water ,they has some long term complications with 7cm and 7.5cm tibia LL and I now think I shouldn't blindly pursue more extensions. My current goal is 6.5cm tibia, which a bit more than the 5~6cm tibia that many forum users recommended.
 If time and finances permit after many years, if I still have the will, I will do femoral lengthening, but this event has a small probability.

Hey Id rather choose Ebola or being homeless than being short but 7cm is even too much in light of Paley's previous research which stated on average after 5cm on tibias the risks will exponentially increase
