I've personally met two people who had it done and they were both in agony the whole time.  Don't do it.

My issues with LON femur were:
- strong pain around the knee right after surgery
- ripped fascia and a protruding muscle bulge at one osteotomy spot
- ugly scars that needed expensive additional cosmetic surgery
- and my bow legs got worse because the doc let the straight femur bone get a bit more curved by the external fixator, and did not fix it to the full degree while fixing the nail.

>>Fixing all these additional problems amounted about to the same price as precise. But more importantly, don't choose the right doc.

I did not have pain issues with the fixator itself though.

Could you please also tell where they had surgery and what was the worst things that they have experienced?

Actually if you have a good post-op aftercare it is not that illogical tho. I am speaking several LON Femur patients who reached 3inches. They all say of course in the beginning it is difficult to get use to it but once they get rid of fixators its best option without break the bank. ;D ;D ;D

One in Serbia (Mitkovic) and one in China (Xia/Peng).  Neither had serious complications as far as I know, but they both said it was agonizing.  The Serbian patient planned to stagger the sugreries by a month or so, but he canceled that plan and decided to get an internal device for the other leg, the pain was so bad.
