Hey everyone,

What are the chances/likelihood of me being able to lengthen 4.5cm in exactly 45 days from the day I start lengthening? So, 1mm a day.

Basically not having any major issues that will stop me or slow down the rate of lengthening?

Statistically I think close to 0%. I've not seen anyone (here & real patients at Paley's) who did more than .75mm/day for tibias. You might even need to slow down just to sustain healthy bone growth. To buffer it out, I'd say planning 90 days for 4.5cm to be safe.

Wow, really?  What method were they doing? LON?

I have spoken to several reputable Dr's in Turkey and they all said 45 days is realistic

It's more accurate if you could get data from real patients. The doctors are not the ones undergoing the process.

That's actually what I kinda hate about aboard doctors. When they answer questions, I felt like they speak to your desires rather than give out true facts. The actual process then would be longer than they estimate.

Couple years ago when I asked some institutes in Turkey via email, they were like saying yes to all of my questions (height goal, etc), without even knowing my body dynamics! When I talked to the program manager at Paley's, asking about my height goal feasibility, she said "how much you can lengthen depends on how your body can tolerate. The best thing to do is to keep up with your PT". It's realistic and sets patients up for the right mindset of what to expect. Doctors who confidently predict an uncertain outcome are academically unethical IMO.

Paley's patients use precice 2 nails. Some people here probably use LON.

I think if you go with that 45 days objective in your mind (couldn't you even do it in 60 days?), you are not yet prepared, And what about intense physiotherapy?
