Commonality of growing after age 18?
« on: May 11, 2022, 12:50:11 AM »

sorry to spam this forum again wish I could just leave but im obsessed at this point

im 18 and I keep measuring my height and getting different numbers, I think the true number is like 5'4.75 (could I give myself 5'5 cause that would probably be my morning height?) anyway getting to at least 165/166cm is super important to me because I want to be 5'8+ after one procedure. im only 18 and I notice that it seems to be common to gain few cm after this age from statistics, however im not sure if this is just edge cases of people having huge growth spurts factoring into the average or that most people end up growing a bit after age 18

Get your growth plates checked. I'm younger than you and got them done, I'm done growing. There's also some blood tests you could do, just ask your doc

It's not uncommon for boys to grow a few inches after 18.

You have zero chance to grow at 18 or past this age unless you have delayed puberty...if you normally developed person,it means you are done
I obsessed with height since 17, but I haven't seen someone who had grown even an 1 inch past 18

There are boys, and girls, who have delayed puberty.
Usually in your place where you lived, when did boys grow taller fastest? Age 14?15?

In some countries boys grow fastest at age of 13, by average.

There is but delayed puberty is generally uncommon.
From what I have seen most boys were growing rapidly from 13 to 15/16 ,from 16 to 18 also most of them have had a minor growth like from 1 to 5 cm .
Past 18 years old I haven't seen even 1 person who had grown, only fairly tales from the internet
