She came here as a girl and also with the nickname "russiandol" ; not really the best introduction lol
But here it's for LL so .. based on my knowledge (what I read, what doctors I talked to said etc) PE or FE are not common but the first scares most because you are not out of danger until 3 months after the surgery .
To minimize chances ofc pick a good surgeon who performs the osteotomy with a good technique n follows you closely during the process .
Weight bearing nails on one hand minimize the chances of PE happening because u are more mobile but on the other you will be under xeralto for only couple weeks (compared to non-weight bearing nails where xeralto its prescribed for the entire lenghetning process) so not sure which is safer ,probably same risks .
You could be extra safe by taking xeralto for the entire process AND using a weight bearing nail but Xeralto IRS a powerful med and the less you take it ,the better it is ;consult with ur doctor and weight costs and benefits with him .
I did not really researched much since I'm a male but females seems to have a worst experience overall and bad cases are reported among them , and given that very very few women do this , the % of women having complications seems higher ( at least for my knowledge) .
This could be due to weaker body/smaller bones and overall a different body composition compared to a male who could (generally speaking) handle better the nails and their diameters (but this is my pov and I have no evidence or studies to back it up , just by logic I assume that so take it for what it is ) .
I'm not gonna stay here telling you why a male has theoretically more reasons to do this surgery then a 162 cm female in this society ,but if you are sure about your decision and have been thinking about it for over 5 years ..just talk to a good doctor ,see if it is worth it to do it now with P2 (non weight bearing) or wait for stryde (weight bearing) and go ahead with it .
I personally am waiting for stryde n I would suggest you the same since you are not 140cm therefore you can handle life little longer at 162 cm and go with a much comfortable nail .
