Staged lenghetning with wb nails ?
« on: February 28, 2022, 12:04:32 AM »

Since doctors seems to agree that staged lenghetning have less chances of PE and FE ,what if ,even with stryde for example , we did a staged lenghetning doing one femur at the time 1 month apart from each other ?

Pros :
-Less chances of PE n FE
-Easier time because you go trough the first hard weeks with one leg sore n the other perfect so potentially even less medications n mental stress .
-MAYBE less problem with constipation post-OP n ofc way better mobility after surgery ,I would say you could do anything you could before since one leg it's ok n the other has a wb nail after all .

Cons :
-2 surgeries meaning double chances of surgical "issues"
-it would take 1 month more to finish the process
- the cost would be higher due to double surgery fees (maybe you can balance that by having less days at the hospital post op since one leg is fine n the other wb) .

I believe it's not that out of the world as an approach because would lengthen the amount of lenghetning time just by 1 month but would make it easier n safer overall .
Splitting the pain n gradually "losing" your mobility sounds less invasive both mentally n physically .

Thoughts ?
* I might have left out some pros n cons but those are the ones that came in my mind late at night , I might edit the thread if other aspects come in my mind

It's not bad per se but even with unlimited money I'm not sure it's that great

Sure you'll feel much better having a good leg to rely on

But as soon as you do the second surgery, both legs are going to suck

I'm not sure you're saving that much discomfort

lol people these days have all sorts of excuses to delay or not do this.  ;D ;D ;D

first waiting for weight bearing nails
then doing staged. If you're doing staged then why not use Precise 2 nails?
next waiting for more research in this field just to be "sure"?

If someone was 175 and having doubts its best to leave the whole idea and move on. life is too short.

just my advice. good luck whatever you choose.

So many patients are doing this today with Precise nails at the best clinics like Paley, Donghoon, Debiparshad. If the risk of constipation and embolism worries you so much that you want to wait for a weight bearing nail and then further you wanna do staged it makes no sense to me. maybe This is not for you.

You are the psychopath of the forum just with another account !
N you are ,per usual , STUPID!
P2 Its  not weight bearing and doing staged P2 takes 6 months apart from first n 2nd surgery , until the last leg its FULLY HEALED !!!!!!!
With a wb nail that would not be the case so use that insignificant amount of brain you have left before you type something !
No one said I would not do bilateral wb I just opened a topic  to have thoughts .
You are the one claiming option 5 and doing nothing ; I talked to surgeons and I'm just waiting for wb nail , period !
Then if I want to do staged , bilateral etc. Should not be your concern since you gave no thoughts on the topic but rather on your (per usual) pathetic pov on other things like ppl doing precice , me leaving the forum etc. When in reality you are the most ANNOYING human being in this forum .

Yes but this was not the only "pro" I talked about .
Also , first 3 weeks seems to be the bad one so at 1 month , the other leg should be kinda fine so still the experience would not be the same as a bilateral.

Idk if it's the right thing but its surely more "annoying" in terms of approach but I feel like it's easier on the body n mind and ig we have to weight out what we prefer for our journey .

That is not me. You are making big mistake. I am just spouting statements containing comparisons from being short to devastating diseases and thats all.
Before misunderstands are arisen from your ranting just make apology to that guy.

You sound so irritated to hear the truth. Truth is, this surgery is not for everyone. If you are scared of constipation and embolism and wants to wait for weight bearing and then wants to do staged then I think you don't really want to do this. People who do this have already decided they are gonna go ahead with it. If you can wait for years just so a weight bearing nail comes and you then do staged then do you really need this? Usually people who do it want to do it as fast as possible and move on.

2024 weight bearing nail comes out
2025 weight bearing nail seems reliable
2025-2026 you do staged procedure

OK

Just wanted to give you honest advice but got hostility. Just take a flight to South Korea or Las Vegas and see patients.

You ( the psychopath with 2 accounts) are talking about things I did not say such as " wait for stryde then I will do staged" .
I was just asking about what would be better .
We got it you would kill urself and blablabla but that not because of height but because you are crazy .
I would appreciate you not commenting on my posts and I will not comment yours !

You are "SpeedDialer" I know

I hope no one learns something harmful from this thread. Pulmonary embolism risk does not decrease with staged.

No , idk why you quote what someone like him says !
As of yet nothing its confirmed but late 2023 sounds the right time for its release based on interviews n general opinion/thoughts .

Given how it was pushed back from late 2021 to 2022 and now late 2023 it wouldn't suprise me if nuvasive pushed back another year.

Highest, yeah it can be 2024. No one is giving any updates. It has to get FDA approval. It is no small deal. After it is launched how do we know it won't cause the same problems as Stryde?

I wonder what masteryourlife's or speedialer's timeline is.

Still u r missing my point or playing blind for unknown purposes. But I am recently uprooting into Reddit spreading my unique ideologies that can depict my mentality about being short and as a result either the repliers welcomed me and consoled me very well or related to what I had demonstrated, so you gotta learn more things about how inflicting and grueling being a short man is and as mentioned above, u can also see being short for a man is getting worse and worse gradually and that is why I can got related to or welcomed. So sweeping changes about heightism has already taken place in this world compared to the previous situations.

You won't know but it's a risk many are willing to take with good reason. If it's been off market for at least 3 years that is due to testing.

At 175 you are planning to wait for 2 years for weight bearing and then do staged? hmmmm.

My advice is to meet a doctor and ask your queries to him/her. Instead of learning only from Youtube.

How much risk are you reducing by doing staged? Why don't Paley and Donghoon and Debiparshad offer this method if it's much safer?

I think if to achieve 16cm in total Paley is always recommending Option 5 aka staged quadrilateral lengthening * 2?

Can you PLEASE , PLEASE leave me alone and not comment anymore or talk anymore to me ?
I'm bagging you just leave me alone !!!!!!
There are so many other topics half of which are opened by you since you open topics everyday; just go there n talk there !
Idk what the actuall fuc* do you want from me ?
You talking alone( with 2 accounts) with yourself and assuming sh*t I did not say .
I was just asking about other users (everyone's but yours because you are mentally problematic) opinion , period !
Who said I want to do staged stryde ?
Who said I want to wait till stryde it's safe?
Who is actually talking to you ?
I made a topic asking ,ASKING what ppl thought about that since all topics are about short people hating the world and being insecure blaming height for evrything when in reality some here would have no life at 190cm as well and you are on top of that list !
So I opened a more LL related topic to share some thoughts ,you leaving the thread its IMMENSELY appreciated!

Calm down lol
Is everyone retarded here lately?
Besides one guy , you all are focusing on other aspects and not on the topic I brought up itself.
A retard psychopath kid makes 2 accounts and talks with himself commenting non-sense , and suddenly another one with IQ lower then room temperature comes here telling me to calm down .
If you have something to say about the topic go ahead , if not , I don't need other advices because this forum it's for LL !
I feel like you all are very very very sad ppl who come here to talk in general ; I don't want to make friends but find and share usefull infos for a safe surgery for myself and hopefully for other members .
Other then that ,I don't understand what are your problems !
I swear i might just delete the account because it's turning into a joke opening topics here !

I guess you are being knocked down mentally recently due to height neurosis too?
From the beginning you psychiatrically-misdiagnosed me as a Schizophrenia patient and I did not get irrigated at all, where I had made the head up to u that I am not that guy.
And now another innocent guy came up only to achieve your affront out of blue.
Either way, I posted in your thread just bc you were mistaking that guy as me and again I am not that guy and what is the point using 2 accounts for roleplayed dialogues here? Obviously you have no idea what u r ranting about.
Btw, the conclusion that Leukemia/Parkinson is more receptible to ppl than being short is just one corner of iceberg of my ideology so prior to my upcoming second harangue which may be cracking u up for one more time for a while, u better make apoloies to innocent guys for your invalid affronts if not u know the ending.
Forecast: The next speech is all about a comparative scientific study which justifies short men's mental health on average being on par with patients suffering from Severe Cerebral contusion and lacerations and maybe it is gonna be more hard on the eyes cuz it is a scientific demonstration not my self-conjecturec as previous.

This retarded coward that now changed the nickname from "Sorcerer" to "PET" is pure poison, it's a matter of time until he intoxicates himself and the forum so badly that he gets the *uck out of here.

So u opened a new account named Masteryourlife1 to troll in my last post while you have claimed tht you would delete your account and forever never come back here?
Wow you are so outlandish to have sequently mistaken that innocent new user as me and then got hostile towards another guy who came up to tell u to calm down but y swore at him with rude words.
Your behaviours can be encapsulated into one psychiatric terminology:Borderline Personality Disorder.
No wonder u misinterpreted my dialogues with that guy even as a single-played embodiment of Schizophrenia. What a perfect self introduction when you were running mouths about how abnormal I was and how irrigated you were by my genuine expressions of how much emasculated I was by my fking height.
I am not in the mood to go on hijacking your left post but just I am warning you to watch your mental state and you were just projecting your real self onto me.
