Do you Think Russia will have a travel ban?
« on: February 12, 2022, 05:56:54 AM »

What's up guys. I'm currently 3 weeks into my 4 week visa process with Rush In Visa Agency...it's been pretty fast so far.
Given the current political climate, do you think Russia or the USA will enact a travel ban on one another or automatically reject all visas?

I am pretty positive and optimistic given the state of things all around. As long as I can get my 3 year visa and get a ticket...I really don't care what happens to Ukraine, or Russia.
If Russia gets sanctions imposed on it then the ruble could crash like it did a few years ago. That would actually be a good thing for me.
On a side note I got in a bad car accident. I am really glad I am a bodybuilder and bulky, it could have ended up a lot worse. Car totaled but I am fine

Anyways, hopefully 2022 will be a great year for everybody. Personally, the accident taught me that my time on this Earth is very short and not to take anything or anybody for granted. .... That and to start living life to the fullest ASAP (which I believe this surgery will allow me to do.)

Don't think so, by having a war a country puts itself into economic risk.

In terms of you going to Russia, it's gotta be on the table at least.  I think the Biden administration will try to be really tough diplomatically and economically on Russia if there's an invasion; it's the only thing America can do to save face given that military intervention has been ruled out.

If Russia has to pump gas to Europe through some other means than Nordstream 2, sell gas to Asia and Africa to make up for a few lost European customers who planned to go green in a few decades anyway, has to switch to cryptocurrency to get paid for their commodities, and gets the Huawei treatment in terms of access to western tech, and that's all they have to pay for Ukraine, then the Pax Americana is over.  Taiwan might as well surrender and the Philippines / Vietnam / Indonesia / Korea / Japan had better find the money to start paying tribute to Chairman Xi, soon to be Dictator-for-Life Xi (exactly what Rome made Ceasar, which has already been planned for later this year and not just my speculation).

I hope Biden and his friends' kids who run the country now are smart enough to institute a travel ban and worse. But I doubt Russia would kick you out.  Their agenda is business as usual after the invasion.

Well, now it happened an invasion at least as viewd from the EU and the US (but not Russian official position).
I don't know where you are, sorry if it's clear in your posts. I'm in Europe and despite not being politician, I would allmost assure you as a citizen that nobody will impose a travel ban forbidding anybody to go to Russia (Europeans could and can go everywhere, it's the "philosophy" for decades).
From the Russian side I don't believe they will close borders either, they are the first interested in welcoming foreigners  both in terms of income, public relations and diplomacy. It will hardly be diferent specially in travel for medical reasons, I suppose.
If you are in the US I suppose you have to be more careful because it seems you are forbidden to go to Cuba for example (I don't know if medical travel is one among the exceptions) and it's not impossible that Russia retaliated in that case by banning visas: relations with the US are usually more complicated than with the EU.
So perhaps you should have a plan B.

Russia will never attack Ukarine in light of their minister's announcements and I don't believe he will really launch the war between Russia and Ukarine therefore Biden will not disturb Russia in any aspect and of course you can get there without any blockages related to the political climate you are worried about.
Besides if you are really agitated cuz you can't hit Russia then just reconsider another countries like Turkey, or European countries. I don't think they are outstripped by Russia when it comes to LL tho there is an ongoing hearsay that some Turkey surgeons' advertisers are writing diaries on this forum and that is inevitable cuz this forum is free for anyone.

Don't you watch any news before forming an opinion? You don't believe what? Russia has just recognised  unilaterally 2 separatist republics inside official Ucranian territory and is already sending troops to keep them separated from the rest of Ucrania territory and protected from Ucranian bombings (they call the troops "peace keeping" forces).
All the EU countries and the US have classified that act as an invasion of a soberan state. As those separatist republics have not occupied all its territories as provinces of Ucrania, it's very probable that Russia makes a small further step inside ex Ucranian territory to "complete" the full territory of the ex provinces as the full territory of the new republics. This is what all mainstream news say and what seems logic.

Some pundits have been saying for some time that Putin would just take those two separatist regions and then stop, knowing the sanctions for something that minor would be insignificant to Russia.

Sorry, I am left behind the pace by at least a ton of days therefore I was not offering timely informations about it. But still I think it's just a breeze as long as OP can get determined to move out to other countries for LL, and don't cling to only Russia. On the other hand, let's just wait and see how Russia is gonna carve up Ukarine LOL.
