Could 6' be the ideal male height?
« on: February 02, 2022, 05:27:27 AM »

I feel like 6 feet is probably the perfect male height. You're comfortably/noticably taller than the average western man so you get most of the benefits of being tall, you're not too tall to be able to fill your frame with muscle in a reasonable amount of time and bodyweight, you don't get the back pains/health/lifestyle problems that super tall people have, and your dating pool (women) covers pretty much everything without having crazy height differences.

What are your thoughts on this?

6'1 is the ideal height in East Asia and West while 2 meter is not tall as I heard from some China's users on Douyin and Kuaishou.

6' is overrated. 5'10.2 is where it's at. Comfortably average yet not show-off tallish.

If I could pick I would say that best height its 6'2 .
Then 6'1 - 6'3 - 6'0 (ordered from best to 'worst') .
Probably it's better 6'0 then 6'4 because although at the beginning of my dysphoria I thought the taller the better , with time that extra height its just a non-sense and it's far from the perfect male height/proportions.

If everybody (or "when" most people after LL race) is 6,0" or 6,2" would you still consider it an "ideal" height? That is not even for example the prefered height of women in the UK (it's less in "Badou"). WTF is an "ideal height" ?? And in which country? Isn't it "counter" genetically differently but still in all coutries??

Sometimes I don't understand what's your reasoning, guys. Why such an importance to being OVER tall, specially taking into account all the burdens of LL (risks, pain, time, money, etc.)? Before you ask me why I question this and why I am in the forum, I'll tell you: I'm allmost under 3 standard deviations below average and neurosis during decades led me to major depression.

Furthermore, being tall (not even "over tall") also brings higher risk of back pain, higher risk of cloting, average less life span, more problems in joints and other health issues.
I don't even mention a dozen of other non health examples of disadvantages like to have a relatively smaller penis and being more likely to have a shallow partner, less likely to loves us for our true inner self and not physical advantages.

Why not being satisfied with a little less, like average height or even 1 inche above it and work on other women appealing issues, like having our own paid house, a good prestigious well paid job, a  post graduation, a nice car, being atentive to family, having  languages knowledge, having travelled, having coaching, training interesting skills and hobbies, fashionable
dressing, know how to cook and speak about it...
I've had 3 girlfriends,  all 3 cm taller than me, and only lost them because of height neurosis, not height itself nor because of them.

I'm 5'9 and could reach 6 feet with 1 surgery but I will stick to 181 cm which is little over 5'11 .
Neurosis its neurosis and can hit at any height .
Ideal its ideal  but what I would do it's a different thing .
I like tall girls and I like being tall but I will try to stay on the safe side and maximize all the rest as I always did .
So its not about LL here but about what if we could pick .
With current tech idgaf about being 6 or 6 2 , I want to try to stay healthy and safe and therefore 6 cm femur it's the MAXIMUM limit i have for myself .
Hope that clarifies at least my position .

I heard someone said the average height for men across the world is 167cm, around there. Of course in the West the average is higher than that. But if you are comparing all the men on this planet, then 167 or 5'6 is ideal height. Everyone has different opinions though.

To some, being average is ideal. To others, a solid few inches above average would make them content about their height. It's a mixture of how you perceive your own height and what society thinks about certain heights (adjusted for height inflation).

So yes to some people, ideal and average can be the same thing.

I guess it depends of where you live. I would say that being around 3 inches above average is always the ideal height.

I am around 182-180 ( depending of the time of the day) and my height in northern Europe is definitely not ideal. Here the average is around 5'11-6' and obviously the ideal height would be around 6'3.

On the other hand I lived in south America in the past and 5'11 was a very good height there

South America, for example, Brazil?

I have been briefly to Brazil but lived in Colombia. In Colombia average male height is around 170 so 181 is ideal there. 190 would be too tall. On the other hand in northern Europe 181cm is just average and 190 would be ideal in my opinion.

I heard people in South America also getting taller by average thanks to better health care.
