What about OUR BLOOD?
« on: October 31, 2021, 01:10:21 PM »

Our blood is primarily produced in the bone marrow.
With a nail invading the marrow in both of the longest bones of the body, what happens to the blood production capacity when we need it more?
And what about tibias  which are less fed by blood and therefore take more time to consolidate even with pure externals?
For those doing both femures and tibias at the same time, with all these 4 long marrows may get temporarily destroyed,  and wouldn't we produce even less blood?
It could be why for example Dr. Guichet, I think, prescribes iron supplements. But supplements, whatever they are, if we have less blood to carry and distribute them through the whole body (therefore including to bones, muscles, soft tissue, skin, etc), will have limited efficiency (in addition that supplements are already known to be less bioavailable, less absorbed and thus less efective, than the same elements absorbed in normal food and drink).

So, do the nails let still some space and function for the marrow?
Or other organs compensate a little (like the spleen)?

From this point of view,  and also for simple obvious reasons and risks, the first conclusion for me seems to be that it's a huge medical error the "violence" of performing 4 segments at the same time,  like in the "promotion package" of Dr. Paley. It's in the behaviour in face of these issues, BTW, that I think we should also evaluate the follow up care, dedication and safety expected from the chosen doctor. (BTW, I had nothing against Dr. Paley before seeing his commercial website and learning here in the forum that he operates just one leg, a colleague operates the other leg, and all the care and recovering phase, specially with complications, was felt as absent and "faceless" by some people here."Nobody goes even see you"(?)).

The other probable simple conclusion would be (about the marrow) that maybe pure externals are not so bad after all, if one has enough stamina.

I'm note sure....somebody can comment?

Other bones will create more blood if femurs can't for some reason. It won't have any real health implications.

Asked 3 doctors during online consultation. Giotikas said femur bone marror is mostly fat which doesn't serve any purpose in adults.

Thanks,  hope so!
I was worried because that production is allmost all done in the long bones but they should know better.

In children, it is produced in long bones. In adults most blood is produced in vertebrae and hips, ribs, skull, and breastbone.
